Dec. 3 & 4 – USA to Amman, Jordan Your pilgrimage begins as you depart on your international flight.You will be welcomed to Amman, Jordan by our representative andtransferred to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Dec. 5 – Petra Travel south from Amman for a visit to the city of Petra. Its entrancepasses through a long, narrow gorge known as the Siq and can onlybe accessed by carriage, horseback or on foot. Once inside the city,marvel at the intricate detail of a city that was cut into the cliff sidesof rose‐colored rock. Return to Amman for overnight.

Dec. 6– Mount Nebo, Madaba, Qumran & JerichoVisit Mount Nebo, where Moses caught a glimpse of the PromisedLand (Deuteronomy 34). On a clear day, you can see all the wayacross the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, to the rooftops ofJerusalem and Bethlehem. Continue to Madaba, the City of Mosaics,to visit the Church of Saint George with its sixth‐century, Byzantine,mosaic map showing Jerusalem and other holy sites. Cross theborder into Israel and visit Qumran, site of the Dead Sea Scrollsdiscovery. Learn about the mysterious community of Essenes whoonce lived on the shores of the Dead Sea. Time‐permitting,experience the mineral‐laden waters of the Dead Sea beforeheading to Jericho to visit the ruins of the ancient city Joshuaconquered (Joshua 6:20). From Jericho, you can see the traditionalsite of the Temptation of Jesus (Matthew 4:1).

Dec. 7 – Ein Karem, Bethlehem & the HerodionTravel to Ein Karem, where Mary visited with Elizabeth. InBethlehem, visit the cave where Jesus was born (Luke 2:1‐7) and seethe Church of the Nativity built over the site. Gaze out overShepherds’ Field, where the angels first proclaimed the Good News,and conclude your day by exploring the Herodion, the palace‐fortress of Herod the Great.

Dec. 8 – Jerusalem Enter the Old City and walk along the Cardo, the ancient mainstreet. The Southern Wall Excavations of the Temple Mount,including the Teaching Steps and the Western Wall, are a must see.View the Pool of Bethesda (John 5:1‐18), where Jesus performedthe Sabbath miracle, and sing a hymn in the Church of St. Anne toexperience its beautiful acoustics. Visit Herod’s Antonia Fortress,where Jesus was brought before Pontius Pilate (Luke 23:1). Walkthe Via Dolorosa, “the Way of the Cross,” and end your day at theChurch of the Holy Sepulchre, reflecting on Christ’s sacrificial love.

Dec. 9 – JerusalemStand on the Mount of Olives as Jesus did, and enjoy a remarkableview of the “Golden City” of Jerusalem, including the Temple Mountand Dome of the Rock. Visit the Garden of Gethsemane, whereJesus prayed for God’s will to be done (Matthew 26:36‐39). Visit theUpper Room, revered as the site of the Last Supper (Mark 14:12‐26).Visit the House of the High Priest Caiaphas (Matthew 26:57), whereJesus was imprisoned for a night. End your day with communion atthe Garden Tomb (Matthew 27:57‐60).

Dec. 10 – Caesarea, Megiddo, Nazareth & CanaVisit the Roman Aqueduct and Theatre at Caesarea, a center of theearly Christians, where Cornelius became the first Gentile convertto the new religion (Acts 10), and where Paul was imprisoned beforebeing taken to Rome for trial. Travel the ancient caravan route toTel Megiddo, where 20 different cities lie superimposed upon eachother. Journey to Nazareth, Jesus’ boyhood home (Matthew 2:23),and recall Jesus’ first miracle as you travel through Cana (John 2:1).

Dec. 11 – The Galilee As you sail across the Sea of Galilee, enjoy a special onboardworship service. Visit Capernaum, the center of Jesus’ ministry, andvisit the synagogue where Jesus taught (Matthew 4:13). Travel tothe Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus preached the Sermon on theMount (Matthew 5‐7). At Tabgha, you’ll visit the Church of the Fishand the Loaves (Luke 9:10‐17). Return to Amman for dinner andovernight.

Dec. 12 – Return to the USA or enjoy a Cruise on the Nile.

December 12‐18, 2018Dec. 12 Today you will fly across the Sinai Peninsula and the Suez Canal to the city of Cairo, Egypt. See the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx before checking into your hotel in Cairo for dinner and overnight.Dec. 13 Admire ancient treasures at the Egyptian Museum. Explore the Coptic Church, the Mohammed Ali Mosque and enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the city from the Citadel. Overnight in Cairo.Dec. 14 Fly to Aswan this morning and board your Nile Cruise boat before lunch. In the afternoon visit to Elphantine Island by felucca. See the Temple of Philae, the Agha Khan Moslem, the High Dam of Aswan, the Granite Quarry and the Unfinished Obelisk. Your boat overnights in Aswan.Dec. 15 Sail to Kom Ombo and visit the Temple there shared by the gods Sobok & Haroeris. Sail to Edfu this evening.Dec. 16 Visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu before sailing to Esna and crossing through the Nile lock. Dec. 17 Disembark the boat this morning near Luxor and explore the Valleys of the Kings & Queens. See the Colossi of Memnon, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Necropolis of Thebes on the west bank of the Nile. In the afternoon cross to the east bank of the Nile to visit the Luxor and Karnak temples before flying to Cairo for dinner and overnight.Dec. 18 Depart Egypt this morning and arrive in the US.

Guests taking an extension may be on a different flight than their group and/or traveling companion.

CANCELLATION FEES: 100% of Cancellation Fees are covered by the optional Travel Protection Program, provided premium hasbeen paid and reason for cancellation is insurable. Those who do not take travel protection should be awareof the following cancellation penalties: From day of registration to 105 days prior to departure, you will becharged the $100 non-refundable administrative fee plus any airline fees. Additionally, thereafter, you will becharged any airline penalties and a single room supplement if your cancellation forces your roommate intoa single plus the following charges: 104-60 days = $400; 59-45 days = $600; 44-31 days = 40% of totalcost; 30 days to day of departure = 100% of total cost.
