GOLF FOR HOPEAUGUST 10, 2015Golfers teed off at Cherry Creek Country Club on August 10 for Seeds of Hope’s annual Golf for Hope tournament. Supporters gathered at the sold-out event to celebrate our Catholic schools and raise more than $100,000 for tuition assistance. After the rain had passed and the golfers were done on the links, attendees gathered for dinner and heard from Brian Sheehan and Carolina Luna about the importance of Seeds of Hope. Brian is a 5th grade teacher at Annunciation, and Carolina is a former Seeds of Hope recipient who currently attends Loyola University in Chicago on a full-ride scholarship.

EVENING OF HOPENOVEMBER 21, 2015The 2015 Evening of Hope gala at the Brown Palace marked an important night for Seeds of Hope. Thanks to the generous support of sponsors and attendees, the event raised a record-breaking $512,000 to support our inner-city Catholic school students. Seeds of Hope also unveiled its new logo with the tagline “Cultivating Minds and Hearts for Christ.”

Attendees heard from student speaker Daniel, a Seeds of Hope recipient at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Academy, whose hard-working parents have made a quality education a priority. Keynote speaker Rachel Campos-Duffy, a TV personality and mother of seven, later shared the importance of giving Latino families the opportunity to choose Catholic schools and the need to nurture Catholic scholars within the schools that will best help them learn and flourish.

Overall, the event was an incredible celebration of our Catholic schools and the inspiring students who benefit from them.

COLORADO GIVES DAYDECEMBER 8, 2015Colorado Gives Day boasted yet another record-breaking day for Seeds of Hope. In only 24 hours, Seeds of Hope raised almost $100,000, more than double the amount raised the previous year. Thanks to the help of many generous donors, Seeds of Hope was able to provide tuition assistance to more deserving students and families in our inner-city Catholic schools for the 2016-17 school year.

HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL HIGH TEAAPRIL 30, 2016In lieu of the usual spring luncheon, Seeds of Hope hosted the inaugural Hope Springs Eternal High Tea at The Brown Palace Hotel on April 30. The event was hosted by former Seeds of Hope Executive Director Maribeth Hanzlik, her daughters, Mollie Smith and Gillian Scheid, and Judy Pogge and her daughter, Patty Pogge. The celebration honored mothers, daughters and all special women while raising money for Seeds of Hope’s Adopt-a-Student and tuition assistance programs. Keeping with the theme, student speaker Makayla and her grandmother LarriLou both gave touching accounts of the impact aCatholic school education at Assumption has had on their family.
