REBUILD, REFRESH, RENEW UDATES: ALREADY DONE: Statue of Our Lady of Fatima has been removed and a new one has been ordered. IN PROCESS RIGHT NOW : Architect is working on detailed drawings for Our Lady of Fatima's new place and prayer areas inside the church. NEXT ON THE LIST: The restrooms in front of the school and new school office. Projects of this size feel like they take forever, and are sooo expensive… but worth it, since we aim to ensure a vibrant Catholic presence here for decades to come.

A note from the Administrator
Dear friends, Last week I wrote: I am convinced that the financial sustainability of our parish and its good works will depend in large part on more people enrolling in on-line giving … and also embracing more financial bur-den for the Church and its works. I expect we’ll need an on-lining giving drive up ahead. But … now let’s turn to some considerably brighter financial news: Our RRR (Rebuild-Refresh-Renew) capital campaign. Read and smile! RRR Cash on hand: $1,028,000 In-kind services pledged (parking lot, bathroom work, project oversight): $125,000 Shea foundation donation (covers part of RRR school obligations): $800,000 Pledges still to come in (next 4 years): 1,257,000 Already paid out (architect fees, charitable tithe, etc.) $420,000+ Granted some attrition of outstanding pledges, we should still rejoice --- we have enough cash on hand to easily complete school renovations, bathrooms and church shrines (inside and out). And we are only $370,000 short of our $4 million RRR goal --- a remarkable accomplishment by any measurement. We’ve been beat up by all that’s gone on, but we’re getting ready to stand up again. Our Pastoral Council and Finance Committee start meeting again this week. Congratulations. We’re alive! Peace, All Good! Fr. Mike

Pero ... ahora pasemos a algunas noticias financieras considerablemente más brillantes: Nuestra campa-ña de capital RRR (Reconstruir-Restaurar-Renovar). ¡Lee y sonríe! Hello Parish Family, I hope you and your loved ones continue to be well. Just like most public schools, the Faith Formation department, including the Confirmation program, closed their doors about two months ago. A great deal has changed since then, particularly when it comes to living and expressing our faith. Many of us are looking to find our new normal and many of us, including myself, are asking when? So my hope in this email is to give some updates concerning our program and Confirmation ceremonies for year 3 students. Earlier last month, during the start of the pandemic restrictions, our Bishop made the difficult decision to postpone Confirmations. It has been made clear, that churches and church services will resume again during phase 3 of the Governor’s guidelines for reopening California. In many ways this is good news as we are starting to see progress made in fighting the pandemic. Yet, it still leaves many unanswered questions concerning the specific date for a confirmation ceremony or for any church event. But we are getting closer and we will keep you posted with any new updates as we receive them. For now, no dates have been given and we are called by leadership to practice the virtue of patience :) Here are some things to remember while in waiting: Our confirmation program has offered our teens some great videos that the whole family can watch.
