Mientras esperamos la Fiesta de Pentecostés, el derramamiento del Espíritu sobre toda la Iglesia, oramos en agradecimiento por la bendición de estos jóvenes. La pastoral juvenil y el llamado de los jóvenes a participar plenamente en la vida de nuestra fe católica es uno de los grandes desafíos que enfrentamos. As we await the Feast of Pentecost, the outpouring of the Spirit upon the whole Church, we pray in thanksgiv-ing for the blessing of these young people. Youth ministry and the calling of the young to the fully participate in the life of our Catholic faith is one of the great challenges we all face. It is in supporting the family, ac-knowledging the reality of the baptismal call of parent to be the first and best teachers of faith that we strive to assist all parishioners and faithful to live.
The Catechism continues, “From this fact, Confirmation brings an increase and deepening of baptismal grace: - it roots us more deeply in the divine filiation which makes us cry, "Abba! Father!"; - it unites us more firmly to Christ; - it increases the gifts of the Holy Spirit in us; - it renders our bond with the Church more perfect; it gives us a special strength of the Holy Spirit to spread and defend the faith by word and action as true witnesses of Christ, to confess the name of Christ boldly, and never to be ashamed of the Cross:” (CCCC #1303)
Please pray for the youth of our parish, and all the Catholic Church throughout the world that their hearts, (and ours too) will be set on fire by the breath of the Holy Spirit.

We offer friendship, support, leadership training and the opportunity to make a difference to those in need. SVDP/Outreach Volunteer Opportunities: We want to thank our new Outreach Volunteers for joining the St. Lucy Conference in staffing the Parish Outreach Office. With summer vacations we are looking for two or three more volunteers that can dedicate either two hours a week or two hours every other week between 10 am and 11:45 am to helping those in need. We especially need bilingual volunteers (English and Spanish). Stop by the Outreach Office or call and leave your contact information at 408-378-8086.

Volunteer Appreciation Mass and Dinner held last Friday
Last Friday evening nearly 300 ministers, cate-chists, and volunteers were honored at our an-nual Mass & Appreciation dinner. We thank our volunteers for their hard work and appreciate their support throughout the year in making our community one of service and hospitality.

Este año, el campamento bíblico en vacaciones "Make Fun Factory" atraerá a sus hijos a través de actividades creativas y divertidas que los llevarán a descubrir que fueron creados con amor por Dios -el Creador final- y hechos con un propósito.
