The Bayeux Tapestry is an embroidery that is about 70 metres long and consists of 8 separate pieces of linen.
It was commissioned by bishop Odo after the battle of Hastings in 1066
It was created in an embroidery either in Canterbury or Winchester
It Tells the story of the Norman Conquest
It Is a very important historical document
