SAP DAYS
A B O U T SAP D A Y
In the Fall of 1970 the School Council decided that it was about time that Cardigan became involved with the problems of pollution. A new group was formed — “Students Against Pollution,” otherwise known as SAP. A short time later a group of students and faculty volunteers traveled the roads and fields around Canaan picking up trash that was carelessly left by people who didn’t care. T he following Spring another SAP day was held; all CMS students and faculty participated in this cleanup day. T h a t evening guest speakers explained and discussed some of the ecological problems facing our Nation.
T he pictures you see on this page were photographed during the Fall and Spring SAP clean-up operations.
