This Blaze is dedicated to a woman who has devoted nine years of her life to the students at Cardigan Mountain School. She has spent most of her time in the classroom but she has always been happy to help whenever she was needed. She brought with her skill, warm th, and cheerfulness that was appreciated by everyone she worked with.

During the past nine years she has assisted in the Resource Center helping students with every task from choosing books to writing research papers.

Mrs. Germaine Schmanska, the Class of 1978 gratefully dedicates this Blaze to you.

Y ou ’ve com e a long way, Baby!

BLAZE 72

CARDIGAN MOUNTAIN SCHOOL

CANAAN, N.H.

DEDICATION 72

The Senior Class of 1972 Dedicates this BLAZE to Mr.

James N. Marrion who joined the Cardigan teaching staff in

September of 1967. We dedicate this to Mr. Marrion because

of his devotion to the school and his constant concern for all

the students. He is always available to those who need him;

always considerate, no matter what the problem may be.

Mr. Marrion has served as chairman of the Mathematics

Dept., and is now Director of Athletics and a teacher of

Mathematics.

These words are direct to you, Mr. Marrion:

We thank you for your kind and understanding words,

even when those words must be harsh. We thank you for

your athletic and spiritual guidance, but in particular for

your sharing of yourself and your free time. Thus, we give

reason for this dedication and thank you for all you’ve done.

Not Dedicated To

For the following reasons this edition of the BLA ZE is not dedicated to Mr. David F. Shelton:

1. The Seniors didn’t vote to dedicate it to him.2. The BLAZE Staff w ouldn’t let the Seniors dedicate the

book to him.3. The Editor and Advisor wouldn't let the staff dedicate

it to him.4. AND Mr. W a k e ly just w o u ld n ’t stand for such

nonsense.5. Mr. Collins had no com m ent to make at publication

date.6. Mrs. Shelton said, “NO!”

And Now Some Nice Things About Him

He allows people to borrow his car. He likes to see people work hard. He lives on campus and is available all students at all times.

86

He offers Enrichment lessons to all his classes whether they want them or not.
