Session Big IdeaJesus is the Center and Supreme Ruler over; creation, the church, and all au-thorities. He is the source of our Salvation. This should lead to a confident walk of faith in Him

Things to Look for in the text:

Look at v.15-23. Circle how many times the phrase “all things” is used. What does this speak to you of the complete authority and power Jesus has?

In v.18 we learn Jesus is the head of the church and should have preeminence? What does this mean? What do you think this should look like? In the church? In your life?

Live It Out

Pray: Ask God to reveal the areas of your life that needs to submit to Jesus’s centrality. Pray that the Spirit would guide you in surrendering those things to Jesus.

Write:. On a sheet a paper write a response to these words that come from the text and how they relate to you.1. Created2. Head3. Preeminence4. Fullness5. Reconciled6. Peace7. Blameless8. Grounded

What does it mean that Jesus is the image of the invisible God? (v.15 &19)

What situation in your life do you struggle in surrendering control to Jesus? How does v. 17 help build your confidence that Jesus is all you need for your situation?

In what areas of your life do you need to remember Jesus’ supremacy? What’s one way you could trust Him with that area this week?
