What  is  space?  

1)How  big  is  space?  The  solar  system  is  around  9,000,500  miles  from  the  sun  to  the  earth  2)How  many  stars  are  there?  The  milkyway  produces  around  3  stars  a  year  and  every  year  a  star  dies.  There  is  only  one  star  in  our  solar  system  and  that  is  the  sun  it’s  875,000  miles  across  and  1,392,000  in  kilometers    3)staHsHcs?  The  milkyway  galaxy  has  a  diameter  of  100,000  light  years  and  a  thickness  of  1,000  light  years  the  number  of  stars  found  so  far  is  100-­‐400  billion  and  the  oldest  known  star  is  13.2billion  years  old    4)What  does  space  look  like?  It  looks  like  millions  of  white  dots  in  the  sky  each  represenHng  a  star  and  if  you  look  through  powerful  enough  telescopes  you  can  see  planets    5)  How  many  different  types  of  stars  are  there?  A  red  dwarf  is  a  small  and  relaHvely  cool  star  it’s  got  a  0.075  solar  mass  and  its  less  then  4000k  in  temperature  there  are  many  other  types  of  recorded  stars  e.g  a  brown  dwarf,  white  dwarf,  black  dwarf,  blue  dwarf  fuzzball,  protostar,  pulsar,  gravastar,  hypornova,  iron  star,  blue  giant,  bright  giant,  fusor,  exoHc  star,  yellow  hyper  giant    there  mass  is  worked  out  by  doing  mass-­‐7.0x10”m(1.4x10kg)

Fantasy  

1)What  elements  of  fantasy  do  you  like?  I  like  the  whole  idea  of  being  submerged  in  your  own  liSle  world  created  by  your  imaginaHon    2)Fantasy  creatures?  Hydras,  dragons,  ogres,  elf's,  unicorns,      3)Fantasy  books?  Harry  poSer,  lord  of  the  rings    4)ImaginaHon?  Is  a  state  of  mind  where  your  brain  can  create  anything  you  want  usually  associated  with  your  dreams  or  when  your  creaHng  work

Brain  And  The  Body  

1)What  does  the  brain  look  like?  It  looks  like  lots  of  big  worms  entangled  into  each  other  to  create  a  sphere  like  object  2)What  does  each  side  of  the  brain  control?  The  leW  brain  funcHons  are  things  like,  logic,  detail  oriented,  facts,  words  and  language,  present  and  past,  math's  and  science,  knowing,  acknowledgement,  order/paSern  percepHon,  knows  objects  names,  reality  based,  forms  strategies,  pracHcal,  safe.  The  right  brain  funcHon  controls  things  like  feelings,  big  picture  orientaHon,  imaginaHon  rules,  symbols  and  images,  present  and  future,  philosophy  and  religion,  meaning,  believes,  appreciates,  spaHal  percepHon,  knows  object  funcHon,  fantasy  based,  presents  possibiliHes,  impetuous,  risk  taking        3)  Can  you  have  superpowers?  Technology  could  theoreHcally  be  used  to  alter  your  mental  capaciHes,  increasing  your  intelligence,  and  perhaps  giving  you  telepathic,  precogniHve,  or  telekineHc  abiliHes.  You  could  also  biomechanically  enhance  your  body  to  make  you  have  super  strength    or  have  a  roboHc  heart  that  pumps  blood  around  your  body  allowing  you  to  run  faster  and  go  for  longer

Drugs  And  Medicine    

1)What  does  a  virus  look  like  ?  They  are  small  enHHes  that  reproduce  inside  of  cells  Viruses  have  many  different  shapes  and  forms.  They  tend  to  resemble  spirals,  spheres,  and  various  types  of  three-­‐dimensional  polygons.  The  internal  structure  of  a  virus  is  a  strand  of  RNA  surrounded  by  a  protein  shell  2)What  vaccines  are  available?  There  are  vaccines  available  for  things  like  hepaHHs  A  and  B,  influenza,  measles,  mumps,  polio,  rabies  etc      3)How  quick  can  an  outbreak  be  prevented?  Measures  for  the  prevenHon  of  cholera  mostly  consist  of  providing  clean  water  and  proper  sanitaHon  to  populaHons  who  do  not  yet  have  access  to  basic  services.  Health  educaHon  and  good  food  hygiene  are  equally  important.  CommuniHes  should  be  reminded  of  basic  hygienic  behaviors,  including  the  necessity  of  systemaHc  hand-­‐washing  with  soap  aWer  defecaHon  and  before  handing  food  or  eaHng,  as  well  as  safe  preparaHon  and  conservaHon  of  food.  Appropriate  media,  such  as  radio,  television  or  newspapers  should  be  involved  in  disseminaHng  health  educaHon  messages.  Community  and  religious  leaders  should  also  be  associated  to  social  mobilizaHon  campaigns.

Language  

1)  What  is  the  most  commonly  spoken  language  in  the  world?  Mandarin  with  1151  million  speakers    

2)   how  many  languages  are  there  in  the  world?  There  are  roughly  6500  spoken  languages  in  the  world  today    

3)   where  does  language  originate  from?  It  is  said  that  cavemen  (homoerectus  or  something  like  that)  used  grunts  (the  only  sound  they  were  preSy  much  capable  of)  to  communicate  emoHons

Dream’s  

1)What  is  a  dream?  A  dream  is  a  succession  of  images,  ideas,  emoHons  and  sensaHons  occurring  involuntarily  in  the  mind  during  certain  stages  of  sleep  2)Does  everyone  dream?  Everyone  dreams  while  they  are  sleeping  but  not  everybody  remembers  it  3)  Is  it  a  state  of  mind  or  a  life  goal/dream?  It’s  a  state  of  mind  you  go  into  when  your  asleep  its  said  that  it  is  your  subconscious  being  suggesHve  to  you
