we have developed and manufactured technical and deco-
rative textiles for countless industries. Our reputation for
quality and know-how made PONGS® the f irst port of call
for digital printing, trade fair construction, stage, theatre

From yarns to the f inal product. PONGS® has got all stages
of production covered. We do our own warping, weaving,
weft and warp knitting, taking products right through to
the f inishing and graphics department, digital printing and
manufacture. Because we manage this production process
ourselves, we are able to ensure that the utmost care is
taken at each stage of the process, resulting in perfect

His
tory
In the year 1913 Arthur Pongs founded his eponymous
company. Around half a century later, Adam Lautenbach
took over the cotton weaving mill and relocated the Head
Office to Stadtlohn. At this point in time decorative textiles
gathered momentum and major markets such as trade fairs,
theatre and event construction were opened up to them.
The acquisition of a silk weaving mill in Mühltrof f allowed
production of the full range of textiles as well as the
potential to develop new textiles. The manufacturing of the
full PONGS® textile range is stil l based in Mühltrof f since
1992, which is also home to our digital print department.
Today, Bernd-Peter Lautenbach runs the successful family
business in second generation. With a keen eye for de-
veloping and producing digital print media, broad woven
fabrics and technical textiles PONGS® now caters to an in-
ternational market.

PONGS® made a conscious decision to manufacture all of the innovative
broadwoven fabrics in Germany. At our two facilities in Westphalian
Stadtlohn and Mühltrof f in Saxony maintaining the highest of quality is the
recipe for worldwide success. High standards have always been at the heart

In harmony with nature; as an internationally operating
textile company, PONGS® is aware of its ecological respon-
sibility. Our production is surrounded by a former nature
conservation area, so observing all the strict water pro-
tection regulations is our leading principle. We believe that
it is very important to keep the strain on the resources as
low as possible and to invest in latest technologies to work
environmentally conscious. The majority of our textiles
is certif ied according to OEKO-TEX® and chemicals for
f inishing are REACH compliant. Wasted heat is added back
to the production process immediately; water runs clean.
PONGS® is operating with three own solar systems and
does all the best for going easy on our resources.
As a world leading company for technical textiles we want
to go ahead and be a role model for the whole industry. In
this regard we continue to rely on sustainability and highest
