Meet our Patron: St. Clare of Assisi

After vowing herself to God, St. Clare sought a life of solitude and prayer at Benedictine monasteries. Her parents tried to persuade her to come home and marry, but she refused. She insisted that she would only have Jesus as her spouse. Despite her parents efforts, soon her younger sister Agnes joined her at the Benedictines.
