Family Hall. Social begins at 5:00 p.m. and a catered dinner

will be served at 5:30 p.m. Nathan Thompson, the Executive

Director for Habitat for Humanity, will make a presentation.

Please respond to your calling committee representative as

soon as possible. All members are encouraged to attend the

dinner meeting.

UPCOMING AUCTION We are planning to hold an auction on Saturday, May 18,

2019, to raise money for the St. Joseph Sanctuary remodeling fund and parking lot. Therefore, we need to start collecting

items for the auction. Suggested items include furniture,

tools, antiques, odds and ends, collectibles, and basic garage

sale items. We do NOT want clothes or appliances. Please

call the parish office at 744-3277 if you have any items you

would like to donate so we can start compiling a database.

Your help is appreciated. More information to follow.

50TH ANNIVERSARY Rev. Fr. Eamonn Boland and Rev. Fr. Charles Flynn were

ordained to the Priesthood in Ireland in June of 1969. You are cordially invited to join them in celebrating their 50th Anni-

versaries with a Mass at Resurrection Church at 3:00 PM on

Sunday, June 9, 2019, followed by refreshments.

MARQUETTE SPRING GALA Marquette Catholic School’s Spring Gala is entitled “Barefoot

on the Beach” and will be held Friday, May 3, 2019. Doors open at 5:30 PM. The dinner will be catered by the Whistling

Bird. Tickets are $50 and include dinner and all you can drink

beer/wine/non-alcoholic beverages. There will be live auc-

tions, silent auctions, and exciting games. This is the school’s

largest fundraiser and money will be used for the new play-

ground and to refinish some of the classrooms. Tickets are on

CDA DUES Dues for Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court St. Marga-

ret #1888 are now payable for the 2018-19 year. Dues are $25 with an optional $1 to be donated for the North American Pon-

tifical College in Rome. Please bring your dues to the meeting

June 6 or send to PO Box 415, Eveleth.

NORTHLAND FAMILY PROGRAMS Northland Family Programs is hosting an upcoming fundraiser

in Hibbing at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Friday, April 26, at 5:30 PM. The theme is “Lent’s Over…...Let’s Feast

on all you can eat pork, chicken and beef.” The event is a fam-

ily-friendly dance and dinner with lots of children and adult

silent auction items. Tickets are $20 for adults, $7 for kids, five

and under free. For more information and to reserve your tick-

ets, call Susie at 218-966-0899 by Tuesday, April 22.

SUA DINNER MEETING SUA, Branch #35, Member of the Year dinner meeting will be

held on Sunday, May 5. A roast beef dinner will be served. Social at 12:00 noon; dinner at12:30 p.m. The cost is $15 per

person. Reservations and money are due by April 29. Please

EVELETH K.C. TOOTSIE ROLL DRIVE The Knights of Columbus Council #2583 will conduct its an-

nual Tootsie Roll Drive for people with developmental dis-abilities on April 26, 27 and 28. We plan to be at the Eveleth

IGA April 26-27 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00

p.m., at the Eveleth Subway between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00

p.m., and at the Crossroads in Iron on Saturday and Sunday,

April 27-28, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Also, we will be

collecting before the 4:00 p.m. Mass on Saturday and the 8:30

a.m. Mass on Sunday, April 27-28, at Resurrection Church.

Knights of Columbus Council #2583 will donate the money

collected to ARC (Range Region 4) and the Special Olympic

Team (Mesabi Thunder) that represents the Eveleth area. The Knights of Columbus will cover all the costs of this fundrais-

ing drive.

To make a donation or to volunteer, you can stop at the loca-

tions that we plan to be at on the dates and times listed or you

can contact Douglas Killian at 749-2462. Thank you to Eve-

leth IGA, Eveleth Subway and Crossroads for allowing us to

hold this drive at their locations.

SPRING SALAD LUNCHEON Our Lady of Hope Parish, Biwabik, is hosting a Spring Salad

Luncheon on Wednesday, May 1, at the parish (formerly St. John’s) in Biwabik. Serving is from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Cost is $7. Take-outs are available. There will also be a quilt

raffle with tickets being $1 each.

SECRETARIAL POSITION OPENING We are looking for someone to fill the secretarial position for

Resurrection and St. Joseph Parishes effective July 1, 2019. The position requires approximately 25 hours per week work-

ing three days a week, but that is flexible. The wage will be

competitive based on experience. If you are interested, please
