Cards of Thanks
Dear Members of Margaret Carter Sunday
School Class,
Thank you very much for your donation to
First United Methodist in memory of Jere. Our
family truly appreciates all your kindness,
sympathy, and prayers.
Love to you all,
Nancy Baldridge
Dear FUMC Friends,
On behalf of Bible Study Fellowship, thank
you for allowing us to use your facilities again
this year. We so appreciate your hospitality!
An average of 40 ladies attended each
Thursday as we studied Romans, and your
accommodation of us made it all work so well!
We are grateful for your partnership with us as
we aim to magnify God and nurture his people!
Lolly Bearden
Dear Church Family,
A little note with BIG thanks from me!
Thank you so much for the prayer shawl. It has
been a comfort to me both physically and
spiritually. Each time I look at it or touch it, I
think of your prayers for me.
With my love,
Terry Caudle
Dearest Faithful Church Members,
The United Methodist Women want to say
“Thank You” for your overwhelming support to
our annual, Fundraiser Spring Luncheon,
which brought in a record $5,034.00! There
will be more mission money to cover more
places of need.
Also from Sherilyn and the Holy Week Lunch
donations we received $513.72!
John Easley, we couldn’t do it without you
and your fun!!
Much appreciation to all for the many
contributions.\
United Methodist Women
Dear Members of First United Methodist
Church,
The Union City Board of Education
acknowledges your kind gift received for the
Back Pack Program in the amount of $300.00.
Your support of the Back Pack Program will
help ensure that children in need have
balanced, nutritious food necessary for learning
and growing. Thank you for supporting our
students beyond the classroom.
Sincerely,
Wesley N. Kennedy
Pack the Pantry
You can pick up a bag, fill it up and return it to the box placed in the
Mission Niche. Let’s “pack the pantry” with Toilet
Paper, Bars of Soap, Shampoo, Conditioner, Tooth Paste, Tooth
Brushes, Mouth Wash, Deodorant, Gallon Zip Lock Bags, and any other
Hygiene Products for Reelfoot Rural Ministries.
We will have a packing party on Wednesday, July 18th, at 12:00 Noon in the Fellowship Hall. Please bring
snacks to share while we are packing the hygiene bags.
Songs of Celebration and Joy The Sanctuary Choir invites all members of the
church to join them on Sunday, June 3rd, for a
special service. It will take place at the 10:50
Morning Worship time and will be exactly as the
title says, “Songs of Celebration and Joy”. This
will be the last Sunday for John and Delana, and
the choir wants to take the opportunity to share with the
congregation some of their favorite anthems from over the
many years. We hope you will be able to come and join us as
we praise our Lord and Savior in song!!
Following our musical service, you are invited to the Fellow-
ship Hall for a fish fry sponsored by the Character Builders
Sunday School Class. Donations received will be presented to
John and Delana Easley for their 22 and 31 years (respectively)
of faithful and dedicated service to their church.
Pastor’s Reception The Staff/Parish Relations Team extends a cordial invitation to a reception honoring Tim and Teresa Atkins. It will follow the 10:50 Morning Worship Service on Sunday, June 10th, in the Fellowship
Hall. Light refreshments will be served. We know you will not want to miss this opportunity to thank Tim and his family for their ministry in our church.
Due to up coming celebrations we will not have the
