Since the summer concerts will begin this month for Calabash, Holden Beach, Ocean isle Beach, Shallotte, and Sunset Beach, we’ll have many opportunities to get together and shag. We'll see y'all out and about at these Brunswick County venues! To kickoff the summer, on Thursday, June 23 rd , we’ll be holding a Coastal Shag Club night out at the Pelicans Ballpark in Myrtle Beach. Deadline for purchasing tickets is June 7 th . If you're interested in attending, please sign up at the dance. Make your check payable to the Coastal Shag Club. See the flyer in this newsletter for all the details! Our first ever Cinco de Mayo Shag Dance will be held on Saturday, May 21 st . Bring a mexican- inspired appetizer or a dessert to share. Our DJ Jimmy Buffkin will be playing your favorite shag songs, so don’t forget your shaggin shoes! We’ll see you on the dance floor! If you would like a Basic Shag Lesson, arrive at 6:30 pm and just ask at the door. You will be paired with one of our member couples for a dance lesson. If you haven’t had your photo taken for the CSC Member Directory, please see Club Photographer, Roy Herring. Promoting the dance of shag, fabulous beach music and camaraderie between friends and community!! If you have not renewed your membership for 2016, you may elect to be a Gold, Silver, or Associate Member of our Club. Just ask at the door for an explanation of the membership levels. On Tuesday, May 24 th , meet us at Chili’s in Shallotte for our give back night anytime between 5:00 and 9:00 pm. Chili’s gives back to our Club 10% of our food & beverage bills. Please refer to the newsletter and print a coupon. Invite your neighbors and friends to join you for a fun evening out. The money we receive back each month helps to fund our various charities throughout the year like Brunswick Senior Resources, Brunswick County Foster Children, and Moose Charities.
