In 1998 Prophetess Cindy Jacobs, who at the
time new nothing about Zimbabwe, prophesied
about the nation of Zimbabwe in Guatemala
and twenty years down the line, God directed
Cindy to come to Zimbabwe. A prayer
conference was held for 3 days from 18 to 20
May 2018 with approximately 700 Church
leaders in Harare and Prophet Cindy was the
main speaker. The USA based Prophet
preached the Word of God under the theme
“Open Heavens” and a word of prophecy was
given over Zimbabwe (See the full prophecy
below).
The prayer conference culminated in a week of
intensive prayer and fasting for the nation, which
ended with National Day of Prayer on the 25th of
May 2018. Over 1000 intercessors and other
believers gathered in Harare at different time
zones for a 24hour chain prayer that started at
0900hrs and ended on the 26th of May. This was
done in collaboration with Intercessors of
Zimbabwe (IFZ) and Global Intercessors.
We thank the Lord that the same spirit of prayer is
continuing among believers and pockets of prayer
ministries and Christian believers are meeting on
daily basis praying for the reality of God's presence
and power in our land.
Let's continue to pray for the peace of God in
Zimbabwe even as we are also encouraged to pray
for the peace of Jerusalem.
Prophecy by Cindy Jacobs over ZimbabweDuring the Leaders Seminar on the 18th of May 2018
If my people will come together and pray which you are doing, the Lord will say:
You are going to see incredible things to happen, you are going to see, as you stand for Israel
and if the President will move the embassy and bless and accept an Ambassador from Israel the
drought will break, there will be such an amazing blessing, many, many, many companies that
are trying to decide “Will we invest in Zimbabwe or not? What will we do?”

2018 - Issue 2
The month of May was historic in the body of
Christ in our nation as the Church was mobilized
to pray for the country and for the first time
EFZ hosted Prophetess Cindy Jacobs.
And the Lord would say:
You are going to see that I am going to do many surprising things:
for this is the season of suddenlies for Zimbabwe, this is the time of
acceleration.
So the Lord said it’s the time to rejoice! It is time to look up because
He opened heaven and the redemption draws near for the nation,
And the Lord would say:
Look and see the tourism is going to open up: many hotels are
going to be built.
The Lord says:
The airport will expand: there will be a big expansion take place
and even look to China because China is going to come invest into
Zimbabwe and not only build, help with the airport but with the a
new sports stadium.
The Lord says:
There is a new thing coming. God says they are going to come from
around the world, major corporations and
The Lord would say:
I want to bring a healing to this nation.
But the Lord gives a warning:
If you go to sleep, if you do not stay on point, if
you do not keep praying, the Lord says it will go
backwards very rapidly. So you must stand, you
must intercede, you must be a watchmen and
not relax you cannot relax at this hour.
This is a critical hour, I see this like as a woman
about to have a baby and the woman is in transition
and many times the woman at that time decide “no
I do not want to have this baby” but you are going to have the baby, so
whether it will be a healthy baby or healthy new nation or not will
depend on the Church.
The Church is the deciding factor for this nation. I want to say that
again, Pastors: this is the hour that the Lord is putting a great
responsibility upon you. Why? Because He trusts you. He trusts
you.
Many of you have been through suffering; you have known
persecution but doesn't my word say, says the Lord “Blessed are you
when men persecute you and say everything evil about you; rejoice
rejoice for so they persecuted the prophets”.
So the Lord would say:
It is the new time! It is the new season!
And the Lord would say:
If you will continue to pray… and notice there is a condition to this -
the continuation of prayer meetings.
In fact the Lord is telling me that its very important for the 24hr houses
of prayer to continue and even greater ones to do.
In fact this is what the Lord is showing me:
You will have like a torch that would be like ah ah you know ah, like the
Olympians might use but you know - “electric”, and you will assign
different Churches and they will take one week of fasting and prayer.
And the Lord says:
The light must never go out (Leviticus 9). The fire must burn
continually on the alter and if the fire burns continually on the
alter and you will come into unity and do this, pass the torch
Church to Church to Church to Church,
The Holy Spirit says:
That you will keep the open heavens for there is still a great war over
Zimbabwe. The Leviathan spirit wants to conquer and divide; even
politically, want to say I am of this person and I am this person and for
that reason, I am not going to prophecy who should be President as yet
and the Lord might tell me to but right now He has told me I feel in my
spirit I know, but the Lord told me its time for the people to decide. Its
time for you to listen to the Holy Spirit and this is very important.
As a prophet, you never want to control you know, you don't want to be
controlling, you want to be a prophet you want to say what God says
but it is very important to be cautious and careful.
But I would say this:
The Lord says that you are coming into a season
where I will raise up a leader not a dictator but
someone that will give freedom for all… this is a
good time.
Referencing from Matthew 28:16-18
Go therefore make a disciple of Zimbabwe; that
Zimbabwe should look like heaven. It should be a
kingdom nation. A kingdom nation is free from poverty.
A kingdom nation is free racism; a kingdom nation is
free from even the pain of the past.
Because the Name of the Lord is The Ancient of Days, and so in this
season;
He wants to wipe out the pain of the persecution, the exploitation even
from colonialism but He wants you to be able to come to such a place
of healing which I know is a difficult thing because there has been a lot
of injustice but the Lord wants you to come to a place where you can
shake the dust of the past off your feet.
You not going to be marked by what was yesterday; you remember
what was yesterday; the Lord is not saying forget but God says its a new
dispensation, it's a new thing, this is a new nation. God is doing is doing
new things. you celebrate your legacy but you are excited about the
future. Amen…We celebrate the future but we know the scripture says
remember not the former things, I am doing a new thing.
So there will be a day, if you continue to pray (I keep saying that) there
will be a day that you will be soooo blessed.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. Amen.
One day, if you pray, that will happen in Zimbabwe, it will be 1
Zimbabwe Dollar per 1 United States Dollar.
2
...if you do not keep praying, the Lord says
it will go backwards very
rapidly.

NOW THAT ELECTION DATES ARE OUT AND KNOWN
Message to Zimbabweans
Ÿ It is not a crime to think differently or love different political
formations and ideologies
Ÿ It is a crime to treat someone as something, dehumanizing
others through insults and intimidations and threats of
violence
Ÿ Let us shun slogans that dehumanize others. We are all
created in the image of God.

political party. God has given us a command “thou shall not
kill” and our Constitutions protects right to life.
Ÿ We all have a contribution to make Zimbabwe Great Again-
lets harvest ideas and collaborate together for the National
Interest.
Ÿ While political parties are instruments in aggregating views
and interests, they are not more powerful than the people
themselves, especially those outside partisan entities.
Message to Political Parties and aspiring Leaders
Ÿ No one can independently solve the challenges that bedevils
our Zimbabwe- gone are the days and years of exclusive
politics and governance.
Ÿ The nation is looking for principled leadership, be they men or
women, young or old. Intergenerational mix is crucial.
Ÿ Zimbabweans are not just the ones who will vote for you, even
those who vote otherwise, let alone those unable to vote
despite longing so. Love and respect all Zimbabweans.
Ÿ The Leaders We Want are Servants, Shepherds and Stewards
not Masters, Dictators or Hirelings. Put the Common Good
ahead of your selfish interest.
Ÿ National Healing does not start at some later point, it actually
can be encouraged and supported during this election
campaign period, the policy formulation processes and the
subsequent formation of Government post election.
Message to the Church

In an endeavour to scale up Church and Community Mobilization
Process (CCMP), the Evangelical Fellowship of Zimbabwe (EFZ)
organised an envisioning trip for church leaders. 10 church
leaders from Matabeleland region of Zimbabwe and three senior
officers from World Vision travelled to Irisvale community for a
CCMP exposure visit on the 31st of May 2018.
It has to be noted that Irisvale is one of the successful CCMP
communities in Zimbabwe and provides a good platform for learning.
The leaders were able to interact with Pastor's fraternity members, ward
councilor, village head, secondary school headmaster, clinic staff,
CCMP committee members as well as community members.
In Irisvale, the Church Leaders were able to learn from CCMP projects
such as completed bridge project, the secondary school as well as
waiting mother's shelter. The visit had a positive impact on the leaders
and one leader indicted that “CCMP has inspired me and I am ready for
my church to be trained on the process so that people in our church can
begin to enjoy a holistic life”. The church leaders were impressed by
how pastors have been spearheading development in the community
and another leader also highlighted that “CCMP brings transformation
to the church and the community, as a church we shall be involved in
this journey as we have now seen a case of Christians leading
community development ”.
The envisioning proffered the leaders an opportunity to understand
how a community can use locally available resources to bring holistic
life to people. One of the leaders highlighted that he never dreamt that
a local church and community can partner and bring such
transformation in the community as he used to believe churches can be
developed by missionaries and communities are developed by non
governmental organizations and governments. In his remarks, one of
the leaders indicated that “CCMP is a tool that reflects Christian values
through and through more than any other tool I have come across”.
A representative of the Pastors fraternal noted that “with each day
passing we are gaining more passion, confidence and conviction that
we have to scale up the work as we are modeling sustainable
partnership with the community for holistic transformation”.

Without which, there are certain resources that you may never access.
Money flows through the size of problems that are being solved.
Therefore, you must pursue solutions for bigger social problems.

Thinking Theology gathering, the first time in Zimbabwe, was
held on the 8th-11th of May 2018 at ZESA Training Centre
attracting an average of 90 participants from EFZ and ZCC
members. This was unique in that there was collaboration
with various partners to make the event a success, the rich-
presentations on family, leadership and integral mission
enhanced our EFZ Mission as well as approaches to this mission.
A follow through on the REFLECTIONS and OUTCOMES of this
Gathering will be made and communicated soon.
Theological ReflectionsTheological reflections on the role of the church in public life, were held in
Bulawayo and Harare in April 2018. The theological reflections seminars'
provided platform to stimulate sustained dialogue within the church to
understand their social responsibilities and obligations as informed by the
scriptures and to contribute towards the development of a compendium
focused on promoting public participation within the Church. The
theological seminars' also provided a platform for church to reflect on its
mandate and through the presentations of developed papers by
theologians from different schools of thought church reflected on how it
can operationalise its role as the salt and the light of the world and also
look into its regulation system in order to provide a leadership role for the
nation.
Enunciating the role of the church in Zimbabwe's Peace Building AgendaThe Zimbabwe Heads of Christian Denominations (ZHOCD), with the
support of the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) and the ACT
Alliance hosted a Dialogue Exchange Programme under the theme
"Religious Leaders Supporting the Peace Process in Zimbabwe". The
DEP follows key (peace-building related) events that have taken place in
Zimbabwe over the past five months, including the signing into law of the
National Peace and Reconciliation Commission Act, the appointment of
the Commissioners to the NPRC and nation-wide consultative processes
conducted by the NPRC which have culminated in the development of the
Commission's strategic plan. All these
events were as a result of the years of
work that various stakeholders,
particularly the church and civil
society, have put in as their
contribution to the peace
bui ld ing agenda of the
country. It was therefore
against this background that
this DEP was conducted. The
DEP had bo th l oca l and
i n t e r n a t i o n a l p a r t i c i p a n t s
including representatives from
Kenya, Togo, Burundi and South Africa.
Specifically, the ZHOCD has been involved in
shaping the peace and reconciliation agenda in Zimbabwe and this DEP
was constructed to build upon an on-going engagement between the
churches and National Peace and Reconciliation Commission (NPRC) in
Zimbabwe and to strengthen capacities of the church to contribute to the
implementation of the peace framework and peace-building broadly.
While the ZHOCD has contributed significantly to the establishment of the
NPRC, there remain gaps in the area of capacity building for church
leaders. These capacity gaps have been identified by church leaders
themselves and include limitations to appropriately map scenarios and to
conduct mediation and negotiation as they host various national
dialogues with different stakeholders.
Additionally, the NPRC conducted consultation with Zimbabweans across
the country earlier this year and the DEP was critical at this stage in order to
prepare participants/church leaders to understand the scope of work of
the NPRC, its legal and technical limitations and capacity challenges as well
as to influence its subsequent interface with stakeholders and
communities in rolling out a peace & reconciliation process. The DEP also
provided a platform for church leaders to critically reflect, through a
process of theological reflection, on their religious mandate to uphold and
strengthen peace in Zimbabwe.

Excellence is in the DetailOne of the EFZ core values is Excellence. Be blessed as you read an
article below by one of the EFZ Women Advisory members as she
talks about Excellence.
Ernest Hemingway once wrote, “Every man's life ends the same way. It
is only the details of how he lived and died that distinguish one from
another.” You will find throughout your professional and personal life
that some people simply don't "try hard enough" to be rigorous and
complete. They rush to get a project done but don't have the energy,
focus, or time to really make it "perfect." Of course, nothing is ever
perfect and everyone makes mistakes. If you don't focus and try to pay
attention to detail, your mistakes will define you. And that is a
reputation you do not want in your life.
Details MatterSometimes in our need to increase production, satisfy customer
demands or simply due to our lack of knowledge of a better way, we
look at what appears to be a basic case of service delivery without
delving deeper into the real requirements for achieving an excellent
aesthetic and functional result. Attention to detail is the ability to
achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task. Details
matter because they add up to a more efficient use of your time. When
you are not paying attention you are making mistakes, wasting time,
potentially wasting money and causing undue stress for yourself. It is
really easy to get involved in too many projects at one time and
suddenly having all the details of those projects start falling through
the cracks. This can happen with things at home, at school, or even at
work. Fortunately, attention to detail is a learned skill, and it's one that
you can definitely cultivate! You can improve attention to detail by
using organizational tools, limiting distractions, and giving your mind
the conditions it needs to focus.
Make a positive first impressionPaying attention to details is important for avoiding errors, maintaining
efficiency, preventing injuries, making a good impression and
analysing information. Professionals who are detail-oriented have an
advantage in a variety of career fields. Making a positive first
impression is part of the foundation for building professional and
personal relationships. Attention to detail when meeting someone for
the first time involves considerations such as physical appearance,
body language and attitude. Noticing details also helps individuals
recognize common interests and opportunities for collaboration.
Detail-oriented individuals are preferred as employees by many
businesses for their analytical and problem solving abilities. Attention
to detail contributes to the capacity to foresee challenges and address
them proactively.
Get Organized You will need to have organization in your life to have any hope of
paying attention to the small things. This means having organization in
your work or school life by keeping track of appointments and tasks
that need to be accomplished so that you are not surprised when it is
time to turn them in. Lists are one really useful way to be organized and
to make sure that you know when and how everything needs to come
together. You will be less likely to lose track of the details when you
have them written out and kept somewhere that you see every day.
Have a long-term list and a short-term (weekly or daily) list so that you
are able to plan for things in advance. When the items on the long-term
list come up, put them on your short-term list, but this way you won't
be surprised by anything in your schedule. Once you've completed an
item on your list, check it off. That way you'll know that you actually did
do it and you won't be in a dither trying to remember whether you've
completed each step of a certain list item
Embody Good taste
An effective way to ensure you are able to come across as someone
who has good taste is to keep up to date. Read high-quality literature
and magazines that are considered tasteful, visit places that exude
exceptional brilliance and innovativeness. Take time to watch
programmes that grow your worldview and perspectives. That way, as if
by osmosis, you will become both familiar and au fait with what may be
very new. Being more aware of what is happening in the world of style,
design and appearance has become a “must have” in the times we live.
Many people make snap judgements about us with little or no time for
further investigation. By delving into the realms of beautiful
architecture, refined art, well-designed clothing, superior service
delivery and elegant grooming, our aspirations become more
sophisticated. We begin to learn new and different ways to embody

commemorate the World Menstrual
Hygiene Day at Chikurubi maximum
female prison on the 28th of May 2018.
The menstrual hygiene day also known as the
menstrual health day is an annual awareness
day, which aims to highlight the importance
of good menstrual hygiene management and
is meant to benefit women and girls
worldwide. The day is commemorated on
May 28 of each year since 2014 when it was
initiated by the German-based NGO WASH
United.
The objectives of menstrual hygiene include:(a) To address the challenges and hardships
many women and girls face during their
menstruation.(b) To highlight the positive and innovation
solutions being taken to address these
challenges.(c) To catalyse a growing, global movement
that recognizes and supports girls and
women's rights and build partnerships
among those partners on national and
local level.
(d) To engage in policy dialogue and actively
advocate for the integration of menstrual
global, national and local policies,
programmes and projects.
The theme for 2018 menstrual hygiene day is
Empowerment. While the issue of
menstrual health does not have a specific
SDG, it fits well in Goal number 5: Achieving
gender equality and empower all women
and girls.
The commemorations were held with an aim
to empower the female prisoners by
educating them on issues of menstrual
health, preaching the word of hope as well as
providing them with hygiene packs to use
during menstruation. The EFZ Secretariat
and the Churches involved managed to
gather resources to distribute to the inmates
such sanitary pads, pants, bath towels, soap,
Vaseline, baby clothes, sugar, slippers,
disinfections, toilet paper, blankets, tooth
brushes and tooth paste which had a value of
$1500.00. Precious Pearls was of great
assistance by donating reusable pads and
hygiene packs. Other individuals like Dr Grace
Taruvinga and Thobekile Ncube partnered
with EFZ to make the day a success. The
inmates were also blessed with a lunch on the
day.
A total of 101 inmates benefited from the
donations and the event was attended by
Swedish Embassy, Canadian Embassy, Dutch
Embassy, Zimbabwe Prison Correctional
Service (ZPCS), Female Prison Support Trust
(FEMPRIST), Southern Africa Trust (SAT) and
Women on Fire. The ZPCS represented by the
Deputy Commissioner General Mrs Mupure
expressed her gratitude and testified that it
was the first time the Prison had people
coming to celebrate the day with them.
It was a day to remember as the inmates were
taught on menstrual hygiene, encouraged
from the word of God, prayer for, celebrated
the love of God through song and dance as
well as fellowshipped with food and drink.
As EFZ seeks to impact the nation in all
aspects of life, showing love, care and
concern for those in prison illustrates how the
church promote life with dignity to all
regardless of gender, religion or political
affiliation. EFZ pledged to lift the flag of the
menstrual hygiene day that is aimed at
helping women on menstrual hygiene
management and carry the SDGs mantra of
“leaving no one behind”.
good taste. Good taste teamed with good manners is an essential
combination if we want to communicate in a sophisticated fashion.
Details shape our relationshipsHow we work with the details of life defines not only our days but also
our capacity to love. Love happens in the context of the smallest of acts.
Our feelings are interpreted through the multiple yet brief interactions
that imprint in our frail memory and become the story we tell about
who we are and who we love. The tenor of our voice, the softness of a
glance, the patient waiting by the door, the listening of what has been
heard before says everything about how we allow the details to shape
our relationships and our heart. It is easy to confuse the idea of our
relationship and the actual day-in-and-day-out details of relating. This
is possibly the reason why so many relationships fail. We think our
relationships should have this bigger-than-life reality that has the
power to make us happy or feel appreciated or seen or loved. In reality,
it is the small details of interacting that is the relationship. Remember
that when you make mistakes or don't dig deep you don't only harm
your own reputation; you waste the time of others. And in some cases,
you could cost your organization a lot of money.
In almost every facet of life, there are details to tend to that
communicate a message to people about their importance to you
and/or how much you expect them to value what is about to happen.
Lack of attention to details could lead to a negative impression whereas
excellence in quality and preparedness could stir up a good feeling
leading to greater receptivity.
