A Business Ministry Program

The Free Grocery Project

Page 2: The Free Grocery Project

The Free Grocery Project has been developed to help churches and outreach organizations support their programs that provide food and services to those in need.

Page 3: The Free Grocery Project

Prayer: "God of love, fill a hungry belly. Please bring bread, real bread, to feed your hungry children struggling with getting enough to eat. Let us be Your hands in the world, that no one may cry out for food and remain empty, in Your Holy name. Amen.“

Do you go to bed hungry?

Do you know where your next meal is coming from?

Do you know how many in your community go hungry every night?

Do you know how devastating it is to ask someone else for food to eat? Or having your kids ask for something to eat and you have nothing to give them?

Hungry people are more than just statistics…

The problem will never go away. Government will not solve the problem for us. We just have to decide what we are going to do about it.

Why some food ministries are closing…

Unemployment, home foreclosures, repossessions, and bankruptcy are at record highs. Families on tight budgets. Increasing demand for food assistance.

Food prices are on the rise. Major food chains have cut prices thereby reducing the

discount offered to food ministries. The Commodities Market (corn, wheat, etc.) used for food

products and to feed animals is rising rapidly. Russia is importing heavily due to devastating fires

destroying much of their grain. Food companies are selling their overstocks (in short supply

due to cut backs) to secondary markets in US and foreign markets.

The Free Grocery Project

Our vision is to help reduce hunger.

Our $17 million goal is to generate support for 100 churches and outreach organizations.

Page 14: The Free Grocery Project

Would you welcome another source to help provide resources for your outreach programs?

Page 15: The Free Grocery Project

In Acres of Diamonds, by Rev. Russell Conwell, a farmer desired to be wealthy, so he sold his land and went off in search of diamonds. The man that bought the farm found rocks in the white sands of his garden that turned out to be diamonds. Thus was discovered the Diamond Mines of Golconda, India, one of the richest diamond mines in history.

Page 16: The Free Grocery Project

Your board of directors, staff, and supporters represent the Acres of Diamonds in your own back yard that can help provide additional funding for your programs.

Because… Everyone is already

spending money on groceries!

Page 17: The Free Grocery Project

What if every time you bought groceries you were also helping to feed hungry families?

Page 18: The Free Grocery Project

We recommend that your directors, staff, and supporters take some of the money they are spending on groceries for their own families and buy groceries through MPB Today.

By following the MPB Today plan, your outreach organization can receive upwards of $10,000 or more per month in cash and groceries.

(That is over $120,000 per year!)

Page 19: The Free Grocery Project

What kind of difference would this make in the amount of help your programs could provide?

Getting started is easy.

Page 20: The Free Grocery Project

How MPB Today Works

MPB Today is affiliated with an innovative grocery home delivery service to create a way to reduce or totally eliminate the out-of-pocket expense of your grocery bills PLUS develop a new income stream for you and your outreach organization.

Page 21: The Free Grocery Project

How MPB Today Works

Our products are used by everyone… name-brand groceries!

The money is already a large part of the family budget. Families average from $500 - $800 a month on groceries.

Page 22: The Free Grocery Project

How MPB Today Works

MPB Today uses word-of-mouth networking to market their program. This is the same type of marketing used by thousands of companies all across the world.

Page 23: The Free Grocery Project

How MPB Today Works

You create an income stream for your church or outreach organization by enrolling your organization into the MPB Today business matrix.

Then you enroll all your board members, staff and loyal supporters as members under the organization.

Each time the members help the organization cycle they generate income and/or groceries for the organization.

Page 24: The Free Grocery Project

How MPB Today Works

Each member that enrolls will make a one time purchase of a $200 grocery voucher and pay an annual fee of $10. There is nothing else to buy in the future. Qualified enrollees also receive free shipping and handling on their groceries.

Answer this question: Would you spend $200 one time out-of-pocket on groceries if you could totally eliminate your grocery bills, plus help provide groceries and cash to your outreach organization?

Page 25: The Free Grocery Project

What do you get with your $200 grocery voucher?

$200 in groceries!

• Place an order today and just pay shipping and handling

Or you can wait until after you cycle and choose from one of two options:

1. Qualify for free shipping and handling on your MPB Today grocery purchases

2. Or, receive a $200 gift card to buy your groceries (or anything else) locally.

Church/Organization

Every time your church/organization cycles they receive $300… $100 in cash and $200 in groceries.

The goal is to generate 34 organization cycles each month.

$300 x 34 cycles = $10,200 per month$10,200 x 12 months = $122,400 per year

Each cycle that occurs under the organization generates an additional bonus of $20 or more.

$20 x 200 cycles = $4,000 per month

$14,200 x 12 months = $170,400 per year

Review

Those who are struggling and have little or no food are not the ones that will make this program work.

The Free Grocery Project offers a way for you to buy groceries and at the same time generate money to feed others who can not.

Page 39: The Free Grocery Project

Ask Yourself…

Does your current program have enough funding?

Do you have a desire or a need to expand your current program to help more people?

Do you know others who can use the help this project has to offer?

Do you need the help this project has to offer?

Page 40: The Free Grocery Project

Lord, we pray for those who do not have enough food to eat, especially for the children. We pray for eyes to see and ears to hear where our neighbors are in need. Guide us to be bold and creative using what we have to meet those needs. In your Holy name, Amen.
