DiversityWetlands are very diverse among other biomes. Unlike

most other biomes, they are mostly water. But unlike the marine biome, the ground does not even have to be covered with a thick layer of water, the ground only has to be very moist to be considered a wetland.

Animals of the WetlandThere are many animals of the wetland. Mammals

include otters and beavers. There are many different birds, such as ducks, geese, herons, and egrets. There are some amphibians, too, such as frogs, toads, and salamanders. Reptiles are crocodiles, alligators, and turtles. One of the main animals, however, are fish. These animals have all adapted to the hot and moist conditions very well.

Plants of the WetlandPlants of the wetland include bullthistle, duckweed, and

wildflowers. One of the most commonly known plants are cattails. These plants have had to adapt to a large amount of water and sun, and survived, while most plants would not have.
