Waterisafundamentalhumanright,butitisalsoa$450billionglobalindustrygrowingat2to3xGDP.FromWallStreettoruralSub-SaharanAfrica,technologyinnovationtoaginginfrastructure–thiscoursewillexploretheimpactofwaterandconsiderwhatfutureleadersneedtoknowaboutthedynamicsoftheindustry,investmentandbusinessopportunities,andwater-relatedrisk.Opportunitiesforwaterareboomingaroundtheworld,inlargepartbecauseofexistingorloomingshortagesanddecadesofunderinvestment,populationgrowth,rapidindustrializationandurbanization,pollution,andclimatechange.Wateristheonlyirreplaceablenaturalresourceontheplanet.Itscriticalroleineveryaspectoftheglobaleconomy,could,infact,leadittobethenextgoldorthenextoil.Thecourse:Thiscoursewilladdressthefundamentalsofthebusinessofwater.Thefutureofwaterwillbecriticaltoourglobaleconomic,socialandpoliticaldevelopmentandwilllikelybecomeoneofthemostinfluentialfactorsinbusinessdecisionsofthefuture.Furthermore,itisfundamentalforleadersacrossallsectors–frompharmaceuticalstofinancials,energytoagriculture–tounderstandhowtosustainablymanageandaccountforwaterresources,capitalizeonnewtechnologies,mitigatewater-relatedrisksandnavigatethroughcomplexanddynamicpolicyandregulation.Thecoursewillengagestudentsinhighleveldiscussionandstrategyformation,challengingthemtodevelopcreativeandsustainablesolutionstosomeofthegreatestchallengesfacingbusinessandwaterindustryleaderstoday.Interactivesessionsandprojectswillprovideanintroductiontoappropriatelymanaging,valuingandinvestinginwaterassetstocreatecompellingbusinessopportunities.
