U.S Girl Scouts — Hong Kong

“Hong Kong Expert Patch”

“Hong Kong Patch”

Girl Scouts and Leaders

The U.S Girl Scouts of Hong Kong has had their own patch since 1980. Many girls have had fun, adventure and many memorable moments while earning the “Hong Kong Expert Patch” and the “Hong Kong Patch.”

The point of earning these patches is to help you become more aware of the different places in Hong Kong, its recreational facilities, its history and culture (including Hong Kong’s language, unique writing, and way of life) while embarking on your journey.

However, most importantly, working on these patches guarantees a wider opportunity that will let you discover

and explore new ways of how Hong Kong can be an

awesome place to live!

Guidelines addressed to the Girl Scout

1. You may earn either the “Hong Kong Expert Patch” or the “Hong Kong Patch.” Notice that the requirements on each page of the two patches are different. For the “Expert” patch, you need to only complete the additional number of activities from the amount given for the “Hong Kong Patch.” You don’t repeat the minimum done in the Hong Kong Patch.

2. All activities must be done following the Scout’s registration.

3. You may do the activities with family, friends, a school class or any other Girl Scout troop (disregarding the age group). However, remember to have the responsible adult sign the activity!

4. Follow the requirements for each category, and include written paragraphs, sketches, drawings, cut-outs, brochures, photographs etc. on each of the appropriate scrapbook pages (at the back of your booklet)! Those pages are for you to complete the required work in each category, as well as reflections and memories! Decorate it and be creative!
