Mission Statement
The Grandmont Community Association (GCA) was formed for the preservation of the neighborhood: promotion of quality schools; civic education of the residents and promotion of cooperation and understanding between all of the residents and community businesses.
Serves approximately
1100 residences in the Grandmont Community, including households south of Grand River, west
of Asbury Park, north of Schoolcraft, and east of Southfield Freeway.
The Grandmont Community Association
The
May…Bloom Where You Are Planted! Spring begins the annual ritual of home and yard maintenance. The Grandmont community can be proud of our homes – and with your efforts – our yards can reflect the beauty of our surroundings. Please consider planting flowers. A hanging basket on the porch or a potted plant on the front steps says welcome to our community. Yard Waste collection began April 15, 2019 in Grandmont. Please abide by the sched-ule.
Yard Waste should not be placed in the same spot as Bulk. Branches need to be bundled. Plastic bags will NOT be picked up. Brown paper bags or metal containers are
what will be collected by Advanced Disposal. PLEASE take time to clean the street in front of your home – and remove debris from
the storm grates to help prevent flooding. Park vehicles OFF the street for safety and security reasons. Cars need to be parked on
cement (parking on the grass is not permitted). Please be a good neighbor and respect this courtesy to our community. Parking on the lawn is environmentally insensitive and promotes rodent nesting as well. Cars parked off the street helps ensure Advanced Disposal will see what you’ve put at the curb. The benefit is safer passage for all.
Be house proud & community centered. Thank you. - Diane Patterson
DPD Day Success
Environmental Notes
Many thanks to those neighbors who could make it out to the Ramsay Park clean-up day in April. Volunteers came together with students from MSU to clean up after our winter melt. See below for the massive amount of bags they filled!
We live in a beautiful neighborhood because of the work of our neighbors and those who tirelessly volunteer. You are an example and an asset to us all. The next time you see something in the road, stop to pick it up. And even better, come out to community events, volunteer your time and contribute to the beauty of Grandmont!
