The Kingdom of God.

+Background

We have witnessed Israel under the Priesthood of Eli, seen it’s intrigues and the Judgment of God upon those who watch over his house.

We have witnessed the end of Eli and his family, with grave lessons to be learnt.

We have seen God used by Israel to their own defeat, we have witnessed the perception of the world about God, and sinners inability to save themselves.

We have also witnessed the prayer of Hannah, the growth of Samuel and His ministry.

We have also witnessed Israel’s request and desire for a King –A desire to have a Kingdom!

+The Kingdom is Prophesied

1 Chronicles 17: 11-14

11And it shall be, when your days are fulfilled, when you must go to be with your fathers, that I will set up your seed after you, who will be of your sons; and I will establish his kingdom. 12He shall build Me a house, and I will establish his throne forever. 13 I will be his Father, and he shall be My son; and I will not take My mercy away from him, as I took it from him who was before you. 14And I will establish him in My house and in My kingdom forever; and his throne shall be established forever.”’”

Acts 2:30 Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne,

+Key Features of the Prophesied Kingdom…

It’s an Eternal Kingdom.

Definitely not Solomon’s Kingdom, and David knew.

The King is a SEED of David – Jesus Christ

+When will this Kingdom be?

Daniel 2:31-44

And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.

Daniel 7:27 "Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be handed over to the saints, the people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey him”

Rev 11:15 "Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, 'The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!'"

Luke 21:29-31 29 Then He spoke to them a parable:“Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. 30When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near. 31 So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.32Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place.

+What is a Kingdom?

The definition of a kingdom is a people or domain over which a king rules and has absolute authority. The kingdom of France would be that people over which the king of France has authority and rulership. The kingdom of Spain would be that kingdom over which the king of Spain had dominion. And so the Kingdom of God is that people over which God has dominion and rulership, and which are under His authority and obey His laws.

God’s Kingdom is a people who are absolutely submitted to God’s will and agenda! Are there such people in the world today? The bible says in the last days, there must be!

+Jesus’ Reference to the Kingdom?

What did Jesus mean when he said these things?

Luke 17:20-21 20Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said,“The kingdom of God does not come with observation; 21nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’[a] For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”

Mark 1:15 15 and saying,“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”

While Jesus walked on earth as flesh. He was the Kingdom of God!

+Was Jesus Christ the only human being to align 100% to God’s Will?

John 5:19 19Then Jesus answered and said to them,“Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.

John 6:38 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

Adam? Noah, Abraham, Moses, David Rom 3:23, Isaiah 53:6

+The Kingdom of God - PathwayJesus came as the last Adam, to be a pattern for the kingdom. Jesus came as a SEED. John 12:24 24Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.

Jesus came to start up the process of establishing God’s kingdom. An army of people just like him. Rom 8:29 29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

This Kingdom is the place of complete subjection to the WILL of God. It’s a place of absolute alignment and surrender to God

+Where are we in the Grand Scheme of God’s Plan? What is the State of the Kingdom?

The SEED died and has been growing, from Calvary through the DARK AGES till this present time. Jesus is the stone cut without human hands, became the chief corner stone, in the temple. What then is God waiting for to bring in the harvest?

James 5:7 Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain.

What ripens the fruit and brings it into maturity is the latter rain. There have been many rains, there will be a latter rain, a last rain! A last major outpouring of the Spirit of God, which will bring God’s people to maturity and under total subjection to His will!

+What God is Doing Today?1. Preparing the First Fruits of this Great Harvest. Men

and women who will work in total submission to God, and will manifest the powers of the Age to come. People who will make ready a bride for the Lord.

2. God is rescuing His church out of the leadership of man’s ideas. Out of the structures of other nations, out of the hands of human kings. God is rescuing His Church out of weak paradigms and false doctrines. God is not coming to steal away his people from the earth. He is coming to set up an everlasting Kingdom, He is coming for His People!

3. God is setting up His kingdom, and it shall consume all the kingdoms of the World

+How can we get into this Kingdom?

There is nothing Jesus spoke about more than this.

There are parameters for seeing, for entering and for inheriting.

John 3:3 3 Jesus answered and said to him,“Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” –Die to yourself and put on Christ.

Matthew 7:21 21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

Col 1:13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,

Acts 14:22 22 strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying, “We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.”

+The Kingdom of God - Clarified

The Violent takes it by force. It’s not in meat and drink, but in righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. – A people over which God rules supreme.

Though saved, and filled with the Holy Spirit, there is work being done in us, to become like Christ in total surrender and alignment with God’s will!

In Death, Jesus Disciples are perfected. God’s will is done in Heaven! The Lords prayer is to pray God’s will in ensuring that on this earth God’s Kingdom as it exists in Heaven be put on display.

In the greatest revival that the world has ever experienced. God’s latter rain will fall, God’s seeds will mature and yield totally to his will! There will be a harvest of Souls unprecedented, and men returning to their God!

+This is our Hope!

Philipians 3:20-21

20For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.

+ Prayer Let the rain fall upon my life lord, bring me to stature.

Let your refining fires set to work in life and on my heart.

I surrender lord, let all that is natural and carnal in me die, let me take on your life.

Show me your glory. Transform me as I behold you. 2 Cor 3:18 18But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
