Geography
• Nubia located on east Egypt and Sudan!
• Located in the Nile valley.
• Near lake Nasser and Toshka lakes.
• =P
Culture
• Depended on hunting fishing and collecting.
• Used lamb and goats as food.
• Made their own tools and made pottery also rock paintings.

Origin
• The people came from North and South Nile Valley.
• Kush was conquered by Noba people.
• Language might have derived from Nuba Mountains peoples!

Religion
• Nubia was Christian.• Christianity came
when invaded by king of Aksum.
• Christianity came during 4th Century.
• Later converted to Islam about 14th Century.

Natural Resources
• Gold, Ivory, Copper , Frankincense, Ebony, and Pottery were all some of their important trades.
• Nubia was an important trade corridor.

Empire time Rule
• First Nubian culture arose in 3800B.C.
• The Ethiopian king Aksum invaded 350 A.D.
• Sometimes the kingdom would be pushed South by northern kingdoms but not too much.

Nubian king known by name. A powerful ruler at Kerma.
• King Shabaka: Golden age of Nubia. Temples at Memphis, Abydos, Esna. Made bro high priest (Horemakhet). Noted in The Old Testament.

• As they were Christian they also believed in many Gods.
• Dedwen was an important God he was important because they were very interested in trade.
• Anat is another important God because he was the important God because she is the mother of the other Gods.

Uniqueness
• The Kingdom of Nubia is unique because they were good traders and provided a good trading corridor for the tropical and desert world, they benefited from this greatly.
Nubia in Modern Times
• The people of Nubia are of southern Egypt and of northern Sudan.
• Capital of Sudan is Khartoum.
• The people still speak Arabic today, the same goes for Egypt.
