THE KYEEMAGH
CHRONICLE
WEEK 1 TERM 2 30 April 2019
Principal’s Message
Dear Parent/Carer Welcome back to Term 2. We hope everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable time with their families over the holiday break. This term is already looking to have many memorable experiences for the students. It will start with our school cross country this Thursday at 9:30am. We are starting early as the day is predicted to be very warm. This Friday, our Year 3 students have the opportunity to participate in PSSA. This is an interschool competition that 15 other schools from the region participate in. Our students will be playing netball against many other schools in the local competition. We also will have students attending the zone cross country event next week. Friday 17 May will be Walk and Ride Safely to School Day. More information can be found on page 3 of this newsletter. P&C are looking for volunteers to support with the Federal Election BBQ. Keep an eye out for further information about this event. P&C are also running our Mothers’ Day stall next week. They are looking for donations to be sold at the stall. Donations can be left in the tub at the office. Kyeemagh Public School will be holding an open day on Friday 24 May 9:30-10:30am for families looking to enrol in 2020. If you have any family or friends who may be interested in visiting our school, please let them know that this event is coming up. We are hoping to utilise the Hub space as a meeting area and if the weather is poor, we will move to the classroom in the administration block.
Warm Regards,
Rebecca Ferguson Acting Principal

Walk and Ride Safely to School Day - Friday 17 May 2019
We are inviting all families to come and join us on our ride or walk to Kyeemagh Public School.
We will be leaving from Kyeemagh Reserve at 8:30am and making our way to school.
NSW law states that all riders must wear a helmet. Students must have helmets, a bike or scooter and a parent with them.
The rules can be found at http://roadsafety.transport.nsw.gov.au/stayingsafe/bicycle-riders/laws.html .
Further information can be found at http://www.kidsafensw.org/imagesDB/wysiwyg/Kidsonwheels_FINAL_2.pdf and http://www.walk.com.au/WSTSD/
See you there!!
Do you have some spare time??
The school is looking for parent volunteers to help with
covering our new library books.
If you have an hour or two to spare, we would really
appreciate your help in covering some of our new
readers.
Let Miss Rhonda know if you are able to help.
