“Good Morning, I understand you have an auto claim to report today?”

Your friendly CSR then reports your claim gathering all necessary claim information and your contact information

If you have the appropriate coverage for the type of loss that occurred and an active policy…

Provided your policy contains rental or loss of use coverage, the CSR can also arrange for a rental vehicle

Once the claim is complete it is submitted and sent electronically to Adjuster who is licensed

in your state. Did you know, most of the claims process is

done electronically today!

Next it is necessary for the adjuster to look at your policy & review your coverage, deductibles that may

apply, and liability.

Next your adjuster will arrange an appraisal of

your damaged vehicle. It is necessary for your insurance company to inspect the damage before any repairs are done.

Depending on the particular claim and amount of the damages, the adjuster will mail you a check directly, give it to you personally or mail it to your body shop who does the repairs

Meanwhile your vehicle is being repaired at the body shop

“On the Road Again!”

The famous rate question: “will my rates increase if I report this?”

The CSR’s have no way of knowing for sure if the rates will increase or not as a result of reporting the claim. It is something that is determined later on, most likely when your policy renews. Too many factors go into determining the rates to say right away if they will increase or not.

Disclaimer: Coverage's, process and services provided

may vary depending on your insurance company, coverage's, deductible, severity and type of accident, theft or vandalism

that occurred.
