IN THE NEWS

We want to thank you for your continued support and attendance at

Children’s Lighthouse. We have had some tremendous growth in the

past few months and with growth comes change. I am sure that you

have noticed all the new faces as these past few months have seen

both an increase in students and staff members. We appreciate all of

our families for welcoming everyone into our school community and

creating a warm and friendly environment for all of us here at Light-

house each day.

We want to inform you of some other changes happening within the

next few months. During the month of February, a large number of

children will be transitioning up to their new classrooms. Families

with children who will be transitioning will receive an email explain-

ing more about the process of moving up and what to expect while

your child is transitioning.

With our added student growth, new teachers will also be starting in

select classrooms. Our objective is to ensure that all of our students

and staff are supported throughout the day and that each classroom’s

schedule flows smoothly as well as the curriculum goals being met.

Please welcome these new teachers into your child’s classroom.

In addition, due to cost of living increases and to maintain our stellar staff, we will be increasing our tuition rates by $10.00 weekly, going into effect on March 1st, 2020. This small rate increase will go a long

way in making certain we retain our amazing teachers and can support all of their creative and fun planned activities with your child each day.

• Valentine’s Day Parties will be held at 3:30 for all classrooms. Sign-up sheets will be posted the week of 2/10

• Mardi Gras Celebration will be held on the 25th and we will make masks, listen to Zydeco music, and eat King Cakes for snack!

2/7 Children will explore our Lighthouse Bus during the day. It will be

a fun, learning experience where they will learn how to ride on the bus

and listen to all the different sounds the bus makes. The children will

not be traveling in the bus.

2/14 Our Valentine’s Day parties are scheduled for 3:30. Sign-up

sheets will be posted the week of 2/10.

2/14 Parent’s Night Out is scheduled for 6:30-10:30 this evening.

Treat your special someone to a night out and leave your darling little

ones with us. Remember: $35.00 for the 1st child & $15.00 each sib-

ling.

2/25 We will celebrate Mardi Gras by listening to Zydeco music, mak-

ing fun masks and eating King Cakes for snack. Let’s see who gets the

little baby and good luck!!

Ms. Jeanette is our lead toddler teacher in our Sea Turtles

classroom.

She loves watching her explore and being a role model for all of

her students to emulate. She is a very caring and responsive

teacher who brings music, art, social and sensory experiences

into her classroom everyday.

Ms. Jackie

Ms. Jackie is our lead preschool teacher in our Sea Horses

classroom.

She loves making learning enjoyable and meets each child at

their academic level to ensure the success of each of her stu-

dents. She brings a passion for early childhood education to her

classroom each day.
