Colossians 1:24-29Wednesday Night

July 10, 2013 

  24 I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is 

lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church,

25 of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you, to fulfill 

the word of God,

26 the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now 

has been revealed to His saints.

27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is 

Christ in you, the hope of glory.

28 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect 

in Christ Jesus. 

29 To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in 

me mightily.

Romans 8:16-1816 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs--heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we

suffer with Him, that we may also be

glorified together. 18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not

worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Romans 3:23-2523 for all have sinned and fall short of the

glory of God, 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth as a propitiation

by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate

His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins

that were previously committed...

 

25 of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you, to fulfill 

the word of God, 

Acts 9:15-1615 But the Lord said to him, "Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel. 16 For I will show him how many things he must suffer for My name's sake."

1 Corinthians 9:16-1916 For if I preach the gospel, I have

have been entrusted with a stewardship. 18 What is my reward then? That when I preach the gospel, I may present the gospel of Christ

free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more...

Ephesians 3:1-71 For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of

Christ Jesus for you Gentiles-- 2 if indeed you have heard of the dispensation of the

grace of God which was given to me for you, 3 how that by revelation He made

known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already, 4 by which, when

you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ), 5

which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been

revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets: 6 that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His

promise in Christ through the gospel, 7 of which I became a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the

effective working of His power.  

27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is 

Christ in you, the hope of glory. 

Romans 2:4-94 Or do you despise the riches of His

goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God

leads you to repentance? 5 But in accordance with your hardness and your

impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and

revelation of the righteous judgment of God, 6 who "will render to each one

according to his deeds": 7 eternal life to those who by patient continuance in

doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; 8 but to those who are self-

seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness--indignation and wrath, 9

tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the

Greek;

28 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect 

in Christ Jesus. 

Acts 2:38-4438 Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and

let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is to you

 29 To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily. 

1 Corinthians 15:9-1110 But by the grace of God I am what I

am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than

they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

11 Therefore, whether it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.

1 Peter 1:3-53 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His

abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of

Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an

inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in

heaven for you, 5 who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation

ready to be revealed in the last time.
