Galatians 2:20 (New King James Version)

20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no

longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and

the life which I now live in the flesh I live by

faith in the Son of God, who loved me and

    gave Himself for me.

    Our DUAL problem:

When it comes to my sins my one cry is for

    FORGIVENESS

When it comes to my sin my cry is for

    DELIVERANCE

Gods DUAL remedy: THE BLOOD and the

    CROSS

  • 8/9/2019 The Normal Christian Life.part 2

    5/18

The BLOOD deals with what I have done

The CROSS with what I am

    The problem of our sins

Ro.3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the

    glory of God,

Ro.8:8 But God demonstrates His own love

toward us, in that while we were still sinners,

Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having

now been justified by His blood, we shall be

    saved from wrath through Him.

Ro.3:24 being justified freely by His gracethrough the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His

blood, through faith, to demonstrate Hisrighteousness, because in His forbearanceGod had passed over the sins that werepreviously committed, 26 to demonstrate at

the present time His righteousness, that Hemight be just and the justifier of the one whohas faith in Jesus.

Sins expression is disobedience to God

Ro.5:19 For as by one mans disobedience many

were made sinners, so also by one Mans

obedience many will be made righteous.

DISOBEDIENCE= separation from God + guilty

    conscience+ satans ground of accusation

What Jesus did about those 3 problems:

    1. Separation- Godward: The blood is for God

Shadow of lambs blood on doorpost in Egypt

Shadow of the High Priest on the day ofAtonement

1 Pet.1:18 knowing that you were not redeemed withcorruptible things, like silver or gold, from youraimless conduct receivedby tradition from yourfathers, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, asof a lamb without blemish and without spot.

    10/18

God is satisfied with the bloodWhen I seethe blood, I will.

    2.Separation-Manward: The blood answers

    our guilty conscience:

Heb.10:22 let us draw near with a true heart in fullassurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkledfrom an evil conscience

Once I appreciate Gods valuation of the blood, Ican appreciate the bloods power to answer myguilty conscience

The value of a clear conscience:

    1. It is the only way you can love:Timothy 1:5

2.It will keep you from personal failure:Timothy 1:19

    3. It gives us boldness before God:Hebrews 10:22

4.It is the basis of character and integrity:1 Peter 3:16

A heart of faith and a conscience clear of any

    and every accusation are

    interdependent.(Nee-page 12)

We may be weak, but looking at our

weakness will never make us strong

Our ground is not on how well we are doing

but solely on the blood for that is where our

    boldness comes from

    13/18

For the law, having a shadow of the good

things to come, andnot the very image of the

things, can never with these same sacrifices,

which they offer continually year by year,

make those who approach perfect. For then

would they not have ceased to be offered? For

the worshipers, once purified, would have hadno more consciousness of sins. Heb.10:1-2

Now we are ready to face our accuser

    3. Accusation:Satan-ward

    Satans present day ministry-Rev.12;10-11 10 Then I

heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and thepower of His Christ have come, for the accuser of ourbrethren, who accused them before our God day andnight, has been cast down. 11 And they overcame him

by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of theirtestimony, and they did not love their lives to thedeath.

Hebrews 9 tells of the High Priestly ministry ofChrist in removing ALL ground ofsatansaccusation. HOW?

In the blood, man is REMOVED from hisposition of separation from God and JOINEDto Him therefore REMOVING satansadvantage and places us in a place where GODdefends us!

    HOW?

1 Jn 1:5 This is the message which we have heard

from Him and declare to you, that God is light

and in Him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say

that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in

darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the

light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses

    us from all sin.

  • 8/9/2019 The Normal Christian Life.part 2

    17/18

If God forgives us from ALL sin upon what ground doessatan have to accuse us?

Ro.8:31 What then shall we say to these things? If God isfor us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spareHis own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shallHe not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Whoshall bring a charge against Gods elect? It is God whojustifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who

died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at theright hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

Are you trusting the blood? If not you are

under accusation. If so ..there is NOW NO

CONDEMNATION to them who are in Christ

    Jesus.

The BLOOD will NEVER lose its POWER!
