The Nutcracker with the Westmoreland Symphony has been a part of our community for over 25 years.

Our film version is a way to preserve this beloved holiday tradition that has been such a proud part of

our history. This is also an opportunity to engage new audiences,

and to connect to our local businesses.

The Westmoreland Ballet Company’s version of The Nutcracker has flipped the script with its approach to the film. Choreographer Judy Tubbs created original

choreography to fit each of the18 locations used to film throughout Westmoreland County.

Filmmaker Matthew Fridg wove the dancers and locations together to create a dream- like immersion

into the classic tale.
