Bor Docket Volume 3In the Richland County Courthouse Common Pleas office there are many old books for researchers use. The officehas set aside a small room, at the entrance of the storage room, with two tables for researchers use. Lookingthrough one ofthe books we found the following adoption petitions. Since adoption records for the county are notavailable to the public we can not prove the adoption took place, but it may be a beginning for someone who islooking for the following people.

petition for adoption filed September 8, 1891 to adopt John Floyd Johnson by Frank W. Culberson and Lucy A.Culbertson. Record 1/292. lpage 126].Names of parties in Action: In Re: Adoption of Bertha Pulmer by Elisha A. Leech & Margaret Leech filed December8, 1885. lpage 501.

State of Ohiovs Robert Sloan: Filed January 31, 1899. Catching rabbits with aferret-William Bell, Martin Frank,Dennis O'Brien, Patrick Hogan. Defendants pled guilty, paid fine of $5.00 + costs of $3.75.

Aliens File Declaration of IntentThe fotlowing list of people filed applications of intent to become citizens of the United States. The names are fromLaw Book Volume 13 at the Mansfield Courthouse.
