How human beings are conscious that EARTH and her resources or the beautyful thing that exist are protected and conserved?

These are the most actual item: 1)Ecosystem changes 2)Extinction of animals 3)Global warming 4)Pollution 5)Climacteric changes

Do you ever heard these terms in your social or daily life ? These are really concerning human being and their life in this planet which depends on good conditions of the ecosystem.

A little presentation of the planet EARTH. HOW DID EARTH FORM? Scientists think that Earth and the rest of the solar system formed

from a spinning cloud of gas and dust.

HOW DOES EARTH MOVE IN SPACE? Earth spins like a top on its axis.

WHAT MAKES DAY AND NIGHT? Earth makes a complete turn on its axis every 24 hours. As Earth turns, half of the planet faces the Sun, and the other half faces away.

Page 4: The planet earth

WHY THERE ARE SEASONS? Earth has seasons because of the tilt of its axis.

There are four seasons. spring summer autumn

winter

WHY IS THERE LIFE ON EARTH? Earth has just the right conditions for life. The first kinds of life

may have appeared on Earth 3.8 billion (3,800,000,000) years ago.

WHAT IS THE INSIDE OF EARTH LIKE? Earth is made of layers. CRUST MANTEL OUTER CORE INNERCORE

Our point of view that why the planet EARTH is damage and these are some of the most discussed factors that causing big damage to EARTH and big problems for humans.

1) ECOSYSTEM

WHAT IS AN ECOSYSTEM?

An ecosystem is all the living and nonliving things in a certain area. All the plants and animals, even the microorganisms that live in the soil, are living parts of an ecosystem.

HOW DOES AN ECOSYSTEM WORK? All things in an ecosystem are connected with one another. These

connections come through food and energy. The energy comes from the Sun. Plants use the energy in sunlight to make food.

Page 6: The planet earth

WHAT CAN HARM AN ECOSYSTEM?Any change in one living or nonliving part of an ecosystem can cause

changes in other parts.Droughts, storms, and fires can change ecosystems.

Polluting the air, soil, and water ,building dams on rivers for electric power and irrigation can harm ecosystems around the rivers. Bulldozing wetlands and cutting down forests destroys ecosystems.

Ecologists are working with companies and governments to find better ways of catching fish, cutting down trees, and building dams.

2) EXTINCTION OF ANIMALS

  WHY DO ANIMALS GO EXTINCT?

Different kinds of animals have appeared and disappeared throughout Earth’s history. Some animals go extinct because the climate where they live changes.

ENDANGERED ANIMALS Many animals are currently in danger of going extinct. Human

beings are causing thousands of kinds of animals to die off. Chemicals that pollute the environment can endanger animals.

Most endangered animals today are in trouble because people are destroying their habitats. Forests, deserts, and wetlands are kinds of habitats.

CAN WE SAVE ENDANGERED ANIMALS? Governments can pass laws that make it illegal to hunt or sell

endangered animals. They can pass laws against using chemicals that harm certain animals. Some biologists believe the best way to save endangered animals is to save their habitats.

3)GLOBAL WARMING

Do you like warm weather? Do you wish it could be warmer still? Be careful what you wish for. The trend is called global warming. After all, temperatures vary from day to day and year to year.

WHAT CAUSES GLOBAL WARMING? Sunlight brings energy to the Earth. The atmosphere is a mixture of many gases. The

amounts of gases such as methane and carbon dioxide have been rising. They make the Earth’s atmosphere act like the glass in a greenhouse.

IS GLOBAL WARMING DANGEROUS?

Global warming could melt the ice at the poles. This would raise the level of the oceans. Water would then cover all the flat coastal lands. People would have less land on which to live and grow food.fig

Plants and animals are adapted to their climates. If the climate changes rapidly, many may not be able to adapt. Some species will simply die out.

4) POLLUTION

WHAT DOES POLLUTION DO? Pollution can kill or sicken plants, animals, and people.

Pollution can change the environment. Things that cause pollution are called pollutants.

Pollution can get into the air.. Polluted air can mix with rain to make acid rain. Acid rain kills trees and harms fish in lakes.

Pollution can also get into soil and water. From there, pollutants can get into the food chain.

WHERE DOES POLLUTION COME FROM? Air pollution comes from factories and power plants that burn coal and

oil. Smoke from factories and power plants can mix with water in the air to make acid rain. Air pollution also comes from cars and other vehicles that burn gasoline .Soil  pollution can come from chemicals used on farms to kill insects and other pests. Pollutants can also seep from garbage dumps into the nearby soil and water. Water pollution comes from factories that dump poisonous chemicals into lakes and rivers.

Page 12: The planet earth

HOW CAN WE STOP POLLUTION? Chemicals that cause pollution are not easy to get rid of. They stay in the

air and ground and water for a long time. Governments can pass laws that forbid or limit the use of chemicals that cause pollution. Laws can stop factories from dumping poisonous chemicals in lakes, rivers, and the ocean.

5)CLIMATERIC CHANGES

WHAT ARE NATURAL RESOURCES?Natural resources are all the things on Earth that support life.

Plants, animals, air, and water are natural resources. There are different kinds of natural resources. Some natural resources are renewable, and some resources are nonrenewable.

CONSERVATIONConservationists are people who want to save Earth’s natural

resources so they will last longer. Conservation is the protection and wise use of natural resources.

Page 14: The planet earth

Conservationists look for ways to protect wilderness areas. Governments set up national parks to preserve unusual areas. Families on vacation can then enjoy the parks and the plants and animals that live in them.

Earth DayEverybody needs a little tender, loving care—even planet Earth! Earth Day reminds us that we need to preserve the Earth’s beauty and natural resources. Earth Day is celebrated every year on April 22.
