Origins of GSEOrigins of GSE Began in 1950 when Rotary clubs of Yorkshire
England sent 6 local men to Auckland, NZ 1955, New Zealanders reciprocated the exchange
to Yorkshire 1955, The Auckland club suggested a Rotary
Jubilee Project which led to formation of Rotary Overseas Travel Awards, ROTA
Exchanges in following years with USA, India, Japan, Malaysia and Thailand
1959 – 1960, John Thomas of Auckland, NZ was RI president – promoted ROTA to RI Directors and TRF
1964 ROTA was assumed by TRF and became GSE, First exchange in 1965.

To be replaced with – VOCATIONAL TRAINING TEAMS
Teams will travel to other districts to give technical assistance or to receive technical training.
