Jesus says “Repay to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God.” When God is the center of our lives, there is no

Outdoor Rosary : Students and Staff of Saint Agnes School and Arlington Catholic High School, along with Saint Agnes parishioners, prayed the Rosary on Friday, October 13, the 100th anniversary of Our Lady’s apparition at Fatima. Mrs. Oglesby, Principal of Saint Agnes School, introduced each of the Joyful Mysteries. Students from Arlington Catholic High School, who had created a life-sized Rosary with balloons, led the prayers.

Support for Puerto Rico : Saint Agnes School and Arlington Catholic High School partnered with Sodexo Corporation and collected and donated over 1400 pounds of

clothes, shoes, diapers, blankets and toiletries to the victims of the hurricane in Puerto Rico. Thanks to parent volunteer, Maureen Kenney, the Saint Agnes School Eighth Grade students and Sodexo who organized, packed, and shipped the items.

Preschool, Pre-K Openings – Fidelity House’s Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten Programs have limited openings. Children are welcome to attend a 3 or 4 hour morning program or

full days 8:30 am-5:00 pm. Children ages 2 year 9 months and up are welcome. 3

Job Opportunities – Preschool Lead Teacher – part -time or full time position. Must be available afternoon hours. School Age Group Leader positions, arts & crafts instructor, game room/youth supervisor, are also available. Volunteers are also needed and appreciated.

Early Release and Full Day Program – Upcoming early release days in Fidelity House's School Age Program include Wednesday, October 25, Thursday, October 26 (Saint Agnes School). Upcoming Full Day Programs include Wednesday, November 1 (Public schools) and Friday, November 10 (Veteran’s Day). Program is open to children in Kindergarten and up.

Instructional Floor Hockey and Basketball- For grades Kindergarten - 5 begins early November. Floor Hockey plays after school on Tuesdays and basketball plays on Fridays.

Volunteer Opportunities - A few hours a week can make a difference. Assist with children's programs (preschool and up), help in an office, help with maintenance jobs or let us know what talent you would like to share. Fidelity House appreciates our many volunteers.

Halloween Party – 2nd – 5th Grade Halloween Party will be held Tuesday, October 31 from 3-4:30 pm. Halloween games, arts and crafts and a costume parade are part of the fun. Registration is required.

The Boston Sock Exchange Ministry serves our homeless brothers and sisters on Boston Common on the second Saturday of each month. Please remember the homeless who would very much

benefit from the seasonal clothing you no longer require. Please bring men’s and women’s seasonally-appropriate clothing donations to the bin at the back of the church or to the

Parish Center. We are especially in need of men’s and women’s new athletic socks, hooded sweatshirts and sweaters (especially in large and XL), small bottles of water, juice boxes, Gatorade, or any other individual-sized non-carbonated drinks. Join us in the Parish Center on Friday, November 10, at 7:00 PM to prepare sandwiches and to help organize donations. We are in need of volunteers to help with distribution on Saturday, November 11, at 11:00 AM on Boston Common. Please note that anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The Advent Giving Tree project is coming soon! This is a large undertaking which requires many tasks to run smoothly. The first event is an "Assembly Party” on Thursday, November 9, 6-8:00 PM in the Parish Center . We will make the tags for the tree. You can meet other parishioners, socialize and help prepare for

Deacon Anthony Cipolle of our Parish will be ordained a priest for the Diocese of Portland, Maine, on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Portland, Maine at 10:00 A.M. Deacon Anthony invites Saint Agnes parishioners to join him for the Mass of Ordination. He also asks for our prayers.

Pro-Life Social Doctrine Certificate Program - Massachusetts Citizens for Life is offering a Pro-Life Social Doctrine Certificate Program. The program is a course in pro-life social teachings. It takes place every second Saturday from October through May, from 9:00 AM- 3:00 PM at the MCFL office, at the Schrafft Center in Charlestown. It will be taught by Dr. David Franks. Cardinal Seán has directed that Saint Agnes and Saint Camillus Parishes will begin as a collaborative in June of next year, 2018. A collaborative is a structure within which several distinct parishes cooperate, to combine resources such as priests, staff and finances, to put toward our global effort of evangelization. Within the collaborative, our two parishes will begin this collaboration by sharing a pastor. We will share parochial vicars and key staff members. It is likely that the priests will live together in one rectory. The parishes will not combine bank accounts. Our offertories, and sacramental records, and capital needs will all be tracked separately.

Baby Bottle Drive : Saint Agnes and Saint Camillus Parishes will sponsor a Baby Bottle Drive to benefit

Heartbeat Pregnancy Help. Heartbeat is an all-volunteer organization that has helped over 200 babies born this year, and hundreds of families in need with

material and emotional support. Heartbeat is struggling financially and needs our help! Bottles will be handed out next weekend, October 28-29. You are asked to fill the baby bottle with a financial donation and return bottle and donation by the weekend of November 18-19. Thank you for your support and generosity!
