This is the opening shot from The Saturday’s music video ‘I Just Cant Get Enough’. I like this shot as the costumes are very striking and I like how the girls are all perfectly in line. It looks really good when the girls are dancing in time with each other as well as in time with the music. The costumes immediately give the video a lively and exciting vibe!

I like this shot of all the girls together as it shows them as a group. The different coloured outfits are typically how The Saturdays are portrayed; they always each have a different colour. I like the different background here; the use of the curtain is interesting and catches your attention. This shot is rather close to the girls to show their expressions. This is a good shot to use at the start of the video as it introduces the band just like the previous one. The two shots show the girls dressed in different outfits which means within the first few shots of the video the audience are most definitely hooked and not loosing any interest!

I have selected these shots because I was looking at how the video shows the girls performing on their own. I like the idea of how each girl has a different character to portray. Throughout the video all of the girls are dressed up as around 5/6 characters. This enables the audience to stay interested in the video and gives it more of a fun feel with all sorts of different costumes involved.

I like the idea of how the background on each clip is a different colour. The background is pretty simple with nothing flash however the costumes and props are very fancy and they both work together really well!

Within the video there are many close up shots of the girls. These can be classed as ‘meat shots’. They are used so the audience gets to see loads of the girls as no doubt they are watching the video to see The Saturdays!

In my video I aim to use many close up shots of my characters, as I believe the mass amount of them used in this video works really well.

I like this close up shot of a girl pouring drinks. I think it’s really catchy and helps take the focus of the girls so that there is some variety in what the shots include.

I like these three group shots of the girls as when they are dancing I find it looks best when they are all together carrying out a choreographed routine! This interests the audience more than the girls singing and dancing on their own. After all the Saturdays are a group and people like seeing them performing together!
