This week, team S.C.I.F.I. took a giant step forward. First of all, they embarked on building hardware for HIVE Suite consisting ofArrow of Apo"o (previously called Laser Weenie), Cardio Gauntlet and DRADIS.Second, the team developed a user flow that turns the separate experience of each device into a firmlyconsolidated one. Third, they finalized detailed project schedule that is adjusted to the new order.

As expected, all components they neededarrived earlier this week. Michael and Hanika, bothprogrammers and hardware designers, startedworking with the components. They have focusedon having each component work to fulfill desiredpurposes. It has been a level road with a fewexceptions where some combinations of components did not work as they were supposedto. Many of them are fixed and they are positive
that the rest will very soon as well. Thesechallenges, they believe, will add much value to theproject and their experience in the end.

Last Tuesday(Oct. 5, 2010), the team had a meeting tocomplete a user flow chart. Having a visualrepresentation of user experience appears to be veryhelpful in many ways. First, it makes it much easier toexplain how they are going to work as a whole. Second, itfacilitates connecting the dotsand finding missing links. As amatter of fact, the team foundsome confusion from impliedassumptions (so-called CIA
factors which is said to be the cause of about 90 percent of
things going wrong on the planet) during the meeting. Ofcourse, they all are on the same page as for the suite's
integrity. Third, it reminds the team of the big picture ofthe project so that they don't have to have a hard timecategorizing and prioritizing tasks. As a result of themeeting, the team decided to change the name of two
gadgets and the suite to better fit their purposes: Arrowof Apollo for former LaserWeenie; DRADIS for formerHIVE which is now the nameof the whole package.
