  • CMC Bulletin Board CHILDREN’S FESTIVAL LOVEFEAST – Today at 4:45 PM at Friedberg Moravian Church. Children’s activities are from 2 – 4:45 PM at Friedberg. Bring a lunch to enjoy on Friedberg’s grounds before the event. Join us rain or shine! WOMEN’S FELLOWSHIP – Circle #1 will meet on Monday, August 21, at 7 PM in the Fellowship Building. PROMOTION SUNDAY – Promotion Sunday will be Sunday, August 27, at 9:45 AM during Opening Exercise. BIKING GROUP ANNOUNCEMENT – The Biking Group will meet at 9 AM on the 1st and 3rd Saturday and at 9 AM (following the Men’s Breakfast) on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. We will meet at the Greenway behind the Marketplace Mall on Peters Creek Parkway. If you need help transporting your bike, please contact Ronnie Lanier in advance for arrangements. This is a “come when you can” group; family and friends are invited to participate. The first meeting will be Saturday, August 19 at 9 AM. END OF SUMMER CHURCH PICNIC & ICE CREAM SOCIAL – Sunday, August 27, at 4 PM at the Fellowship Building. Hamburgers and hotdogs and toppings provided by the CE Committee. The congregation to bring sides and desserts, especially ice cream. A BINGO party will follow the meal. Friends and family are invited, so come and join us for an afternoon of food, fun and fellowship! YOUTH LUNCH AND LUNCH AND LEARN – The Youth Lunch will be Sunday, September 10, following the service. The menu will be Baked Potato and Salad Bar. A love offering will be collected to help the youth with their projects. As part of the CE Committee’s new “Lunch & Learn Series,” Patty Garner will give a presentation about the Unity Women’s Desk immediately following the lunch. CHURCH OFFICE NEWS – Pastor Marcus’ vacation is August 17 through August 24. In his absence, our congregational acolyte, Matt Pace, will be available to field any pastoral visits or needs. Matt’s cell number is: 336-416-8499.

    FESTIVAL OF TABLES The Women's Fellowship will be hosting a Festival of Tables September 16th. The doors will open at 5 PM and the catered meal will begin at approximately 6 PM. This will give the ladies time to visit and view all the beautiful tables. This year the speaker will be Jennifer Sands. When Jennifer's husband, Jim, was killed in the terrorist attack on September 11, her world changed forever. Come here Jennifer, as she shares with us how through this tragedy and by God’s grace, she came to faith in Jesus Christ and how she found another life beyond anything she could have imagined. Tickets will be $15.00 and you may purchase a ticket by contacting one of the hostesses listed below.
