DAY ONE – Arrive in PortlandWelcome to Portland where we begin our search for Oregon’sSeven Wonders. Meet your Tour Manager at 6:00 p.m. and getto know your fellow travelers during a welcome dinner in thehotel. (Dinner)

DAY TWO – Portland City Tour and Columbia River GorgeThis morning a guided tour of Portland includes Lloyd Center,the downtown area on the Willamette River, Old Town HistoricDistrict and famed International Rose Test Gardens. The after-noon features our first Oregon Wonder, the Columbia RiverGorge. At Vista House, sheer cliffs rise as high as 2,000 feet andverdant mountainsides and waterfalls meet the Columbia River,and offers spectacular gorge views. At spectacular Multnomah

Falls, experience the power of this 600-foot tall roaring cascadeof water which legend says was created to win the heart of ayoung princess who wanted a private place to bathe. We alsostop at mammoth Bonneville Lock and Dam before returning.(Breakfast)

DAY THREE – Mount Hood and Timberline LodgeLeaving Portland behind, we head towards our second OregonWonder, Mount Hood. At over 11,000 feet, it is the highestmountain in the state. Our lunch today is at spectacular Timber-line Lodge, one of Oregon’s most popular attractions. Consid-ered an architectural wonder, Timberline was declared aNational Historic Landmark in 1977. Later, we arrive in Pendle-ton, known for fine woolens, leather craftsmanship and westernheritage and traditions. (Breakfast and lunch)

DAY FOUR – Hells Canyon Jet Boat and Wallowa MountainsRising almost 10,000 feet out of the ranchland of eastern Ore-gon are the Wallowa Mountains, our third Oregon Wonder. Wetake a panoramic guided tour of the bustling little town of BakerCity before heading to Hells Canyon National Recreation Area,the deepest river gorge in North America. After our includedlunch we take to the river on an exciting jet boat excursion intothe deeper parts of the canyon. Later, we arrive at our hotel inBaker City. (Breakfast and dinner)

DAY FIVE – Painted Hills and Smith Rock State Park At John Day Fossil Beds National Monument, we find ourfourth Oregon Wonder, the Painted Hills. This remnants of thisancient flood plain undulates in hues of red, gold and black.Our fifth Oregon Wonder features red rock spires soaring morethan 500 feet above the sage-covered high desert plateau ofCentral Oregon. Later, we arrive in Bend, an inviting mountaingetaway with a cosmopolitan appeal for the next two nights.(Breakfast and dinner)

DAY SIX – Crater Lake National ParkToday is entirely dedicated to our sixth Oregon Wonder, CraterLake National Park. Here, rain and snow filled the emptycaldera of the ancient volcano Mount Mazama with brilliantblue waters to a depth of 1,932 feet, creating the deepest lake inNorth America. We’ll follow the 35-mile Rim Drive for un-

matched panoramic views. This afternoon we head back toBend and a delicious included dinner. (Breakfast and dinner)

DAY SEVEN – Oregon Dunes Dune Buggy Ride Departing the interior today, we make our way to Oregon’sbeautiful coast. At Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area weclimb aboard special designed four-wheel-drive dune buggiesfor thrilling ride off the beaten path. Some of the wind-sculptedsand dunes tower almost 500 feet above sea level and the areafeatures thick “tree islands”, marsh-like deflation plains andbeaches. At Newport, oceanfront accommodations have beenarranged to the evening. (Breakfast and dinner)

DAY EIGHT – Oregon’s Dramatic CoastlineToday we experience our seventh Oregon Wonder, its incrediblecoastline. Here, wind-sculpted trees lean inland and rugged seastacks rise from the surf. We begin with a stop at the 1873Yaquina Head Lighthouse, the tallest in the state. Continuing upthe coast, we’ll take the breathtaking Three Capes Scenic Drivebefore coming to the town of Tillamook, home to the TillamookCheese Factory. For over 100 years Tillamook has been produc-ing only the finest cheese the region has become known for.Tonight we enjoy a fun-filled farewell dinner at the RhinelanderGerman Restaurant, a unique, festive dining experience com-plete with singing waiters. (Breakfast and dinner)

DAY NINE – Travel HomeDepart for home from this memorable vacation with a grouptransfer to the Portland International Airport for flights out after12:00 p.m. (Breakfast)
