for the meeting can only be made for registered seminar attendees. Guaranteed reservations must be accompanied by a first night room deposit or major credit

card. The Grove Park Inn will not hold any reservations unless secured by one of the above methods. The room rate at the Grove Park Inn for run of the house

rooms is $199.00/night plus tax; for a resort view room $224.00/night plus tax; for guaranteed mountain view room $254.00/night plus tax. To request hotel

room reservations please fill out the HOTEL RESERVATION FORM and return to SCBLA headquarters with your seminar registration form. Seminar registration forms with payment must accompany hotel reservation form. Hotel form will not be accepted unless you have submitted a registration prior to or along with the hotel form. Confirmation information will be sent by email within three weeks of receiving registration.

All deposits are refundable up to 72 hours prior to arrival. Availability of rooms at the group rate is subject to the SCBLA room block and for reservations made on or before, Tuesday, April 1, 2014 the cutoff date. Reservations requests received after the room block has been fully reserved or after the release of unused rooms on April 1, 2014 will be accepted based on a space and rate availability basis.

Optional Events Description

Guided Waterfall Hike The Falls at Dupont State Forest - Located between the charming towns of Hendersonville and Brevard – the 10,000 acre Dupont State Forest is home to over 90 miles of trails leading adventurous hikers to beautiful waterfalls, tranquil mountain lakes, and beside rushing streams. On this moderate hike your friendly guides will take you to three of these splendid waterfalls (High Falls, Triple Falls and Hooker Falls). Several of the waterfalls you will see were filmed in the movie Last of the Mohicans. The Hunger Games was also filed in the Dupont State Forest. Make sure to bring your camera because this place is truly a photographer’s dream! Also, please wear appropriate shoes for light hiking. Whitewater Rafting Beautiful scenery, playful rapids. One of the world’s oldest rivers, the French Broad River winds through the Pisgah National Forest in the mountains of North Carolina. The whitewater section, located near Walnut, North Carolina, is convenient to Asheville, as well as Hot Springs, a charming mountain town. Class I-III French Broad rafting offers groups a perfect introduction to whitewater. For each person a personal flotation device, helmet, paddle will be provided, and each raft will have a professional guide. Please wear bathing suits (or shorts and tee-shirt) and secure footwear (sandals are not appropriate). Optional: sunscreen, sunglasses and glasses strap. For after your trip: change of clothes, dry shoes and towel. Children must be eight years old to participate in the raft trip. A PARENT OR GUARDIAN IS REQUIRED TO SIGN WAIVERS FOR CHILDREN OR YOUTH UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE.

The Grove Park Inn’s Children’s Program Supervised by qualified staff, these programs for kids ages 5-12 are packed with fun activities and adventure.
