Introduction

Icons of Whisky & Whisky Magazine Awards 2016, (WMA), are the most prestigious Whisky Awards in the world and will be presented in Mumbai, on Saturday 15th October 2016. These will the 8th edition of the awards, which were first introduced to India, in 2008. Icons of Whisky are owned by Whisky Magazine, UK & were launched in Year 2000, to reward Places, People & Products celebrating Whisky.

Whisky Magazine Awards 2016 - ADVOCATES RESPONSIBLE DRINKING. • IOW is owned by Whisky Magazine, world`s best read magazine on Whisky.

• Launched internationally in 1998, Whisky Magazine has been celebrating the whiskies of the world consistently and seeks to present the highest accolade for whisky, the Icons of Whisky, in every leading whisky nation of the world.

• The Icons of Whisky have established premier standards throughout the world, identifying and appreciating quality across the global industry & communicating its views to the consumers in a clear & constructive way.

• The Icons of Whisky were introduced to India in 2008 and are exclusively represented, in South Asia, by Spiritual Luxury Living Pvt. Ltd.

• Over the years, the Icons of Whisky Awards have been re-positioned in India, to build a higher aspiration level and challenge, thus ensuring that only the best bars that truly believe in the finest guest experience and understand whisky, claim the honors.

• In 2016, only 26 Bars across India, will be given the Certification across each category, thus making Icons of Whisky, one of the finest &most formidable awards, in the Food & Beverage industry.

• In keeping with the international theme, the Icons of Whisky Awards reward The Best Whisky Bars in India – The Places, People & Producers of Whisky.

• Only Global Awards in the country to felicitate Bars, Hospitality & Spirits Industry. • Independent & Standalone Awards – A high profile EVENT with focus only on Whisky & Awards. • Eminent Indian & International speakers • Wide Representation across Industry. International Selection Criteria

• By Invitation – IOW Forms will be sent to 400 Bars across India • Web Polling – Industry & Guest will poll for there favorite Bars – Places & People, on the IOW website. • Market Research – An activity & interactive MR will be conducted over 90 days to judge the Best Bars.

Judges will be in all cities • Team from Whisky Magazine, UK & SLL India along with an independent panel of judges, will make

the final selection. • All Award Categories will be decided on the aforementioned criteria. • Based on the selection, winners will be announced & awarded at the IOW Reception

What are the Icons of Whisky?The Icons of Whisky are the annualindustry awards organised by WhiskyMagazine, recognising the very bestpeople and places in the whiskybusiness around the world. The awardsinvolve country heats to find the bestcompanies in the leading whiskynations of the world, which thencompete against each other for theoverall Icons of Whisky which arepresented in London each March.

Who should enter the Icons of Whisky?Whisky distillers, marketeers andretailers. Entrants nominate themselves,and may also be nominated by thepanel of judges.

Who are the judges?Stage 1 Whisky Magazine editorial panel.Stage 2 More than 150 industrymembers worldwide.

What is the judging process?Stage 1 The editor draws up a short listin each category, which is voted on bythe Whisky Magazine editorial panel.Stage 2 The industry then votes on theshort list before finalists are voted on bythe Whisky Magazine editorial panel.

What is the entry price?There is no charge to enter.

How to enter• Complete the relevant entry form.• Select your entry method.• Submit your entry by post, fax or email

by the date listed above.

Rules of entryEntries must be submitted by the datelisted above.Entries must be made with a completedentry form (electronic or hard copy). Any entry form which arrives incomplete,late or illegible may be deemed invalid.Companies may be entered in to morethan one category. A separate entry form must be provided foreach category entered. Responsibility for entering the correctcategory lies solely with the entrant. Award categories may change or beremoved at the Judges’ discretion. The Judges will disqualify an entry ifinsufficient or incorrect information isgiven on the entry form. Entries cannot be returned once submitted. The Organisers may, at their discretion,refuse to accept an entry.The Judges’ decision is final. Nocorrespondence may be entered into. The Organisers may alter the closingdate for the awards, place an entry in themost appropriate category, rule that anentry may not compete or is ineligible tocompete, or alter the date, time or placeon or at which the awards are scheduledto take place.The Chairman of Judges has the power todisqualify any entry not deemed asmeeting the entry criteria.

Commercial & Business Summary

OBLIGATIONS OF Spiritual Luxury Living

• To hold overall responsibility for the concept, organization and management of Icons of Whisky, India. • Liaise & consult regularly with the Partners with regard to the event, in order to allow inputs & share expertise. • To effectively publicize Icons of Whisky, India & ensure that the brands are visibly promoted at all opportunities. (Based on

legal permission) • Liaise & consult regularly with Hotel / Partners to ensure that an effective joint publicity campaign is implemented to promote

both the Event & the Brands.

OBLIGATIONS of Partners

• Provide advertising and promotional support as the Sponsor. • Offer relevant expertise and ideas to SLL to ensure effective event conduct. • Provide details of the media campaigns (if relevant), towards a joint campaign. • Provide added-value prizes/giveaways to add value to the publicity campaign & evening entertainment. • For the duration of the Partnership, Partner will not enter into sponsorship agreements with any other Whisky Conference /

Event for 30 days before and after the event. • Complete facilities at the Event Venue.

BROADPOINTS

• Category I Sponsor will offer Duty paid whisky stocks for 300 guests, for the IOW Awards 2016 • Non Spirit Brands will also be invited • A FULL WHISKY BAR WITH ALL OTHER INTERNATIONAL BRANDS, WILL OPEN AFTER THE IOW 2016

AWARDS CEREMONY • Brand Exhibit – Structure, Display Material and ALL DISPLAY Products will be bought by the Sponsors • Transport – To and from the Venue will be borne by the Sponsors • Extra Power & Electricity will be bought by the Sponsors • All Extra third payments will be paid by Sponsors • All Sponsors will abide by the Rules of the Venue Partner besides, local Excise Laws • Height of Exhibits will not be more than 12 feet • A formal approval on company letter head will be required on all areas • 100% Payment by August 31st 2016 • No cancellation by Brand Partner allowed, post signing of the Agreement • Only Space will be provided on as is where is basis, Sponsor will need to furnish it at own expense. • All dressing and decorations will be as per written permission from IOW and Venue

o (Hazard Advisory) & will be paid directly by the Sponsor. • SLL or Whisky Magazine, UK and India are not responsible for damages to any party arising out of IOW 2016 or WL Event

or related activities. • IOW 2016 and WL will be managed on Best Effort basis. • All whiskies offered will be grain based & matured for 3 years and above. • IOW branding will be equally split and offer to both Premium Sponsors. • Invoice to Brand Partners might be directly on Paragraph Publishing, UK. • IOW will witness 2-3 International guest Speakers at the IOW 2016 Awards Reception.

Spiritual Luxury Living Pvt. Ltd. Paragraph Publishing, UK, IOW India and UK, will not be responsible for any losses arising out of participation, directly or indirectly, in the event & reserves the right to change the event protocol or any other areas, as and when it desires. Legal jurisdiction of Delhi High Court will be binding.
