A one day conference and reception, with leadingindustry speakers from across the sector. The increasing size of the new generation of on-shore wind turbines means that the industry is having to consider new ways to transport and lift them to ensure that projects are completed safely, and on time and budget.

The programme will include the latest on discussions to develop a new generation of best practice guides plus sessions on:• risk management • accident analyses• crane design • productivity• on-site delivery and transportation standards • improving supply chain relationships

The organisers aim to improve communication across the supply chain through this unique summit – from developers and turbine manufacturers to crane and transport manufacturers and rental companies – helping to raise standards, boost productivity and reduce the number of accidents.

The summit is organised and supported by ESTA (the European Association for Abnormal Road Transport and Mobile Cranes) and the Cranes and Lifting Equipment Product Group of FEM (the European Materials Handling Federation).

It also has the support of VDMA Power Systems, the section of the German manufacturing and engineering association whose members include many wind turbine manufacturers and their suppliers.
