Celebrate the excitement, anticipation and

wonder of the birth of Christ with an ELCA

World Hunger Advent Calendar. There are

hymns, prayers, and Bible verses to share

and discuss on your Advent Journey. Also

available are coloring posters that will guide

you through Advent through art. Please pick

up these free Advent resources in the lobby.

Each week there will be a new coloring

poster.

DINNER, DRAMA, & DISCUSSION

Wednesdays from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the

Suntree Campus. Come eat, enjoy a short

One-Act play, and join in discussion about

how the play relates to faith and life. Dinner

served from 5:00-6:00 p.m. Performance at

6:00 p.m. Discussion after the performance.

Advent’s annual Blue Christmas service will be

held at 7 pm Tuesday, Dec. 18th. This is a

gentle service for those who may struggle

amid the joy and festivities of the Christmas

season.

Our congregation has once again given

generously to the Angel Tree outreach. We

have fulfilled the wishes of many of the

children by giving to The Children's

Foundation of Brevard. They are so

appreciative of the support you have given

these children by making their Christmas

special. God is good and so are you! In a

side note, 165 cards were signed and

delivered to the residents of Trinity Towers

South on behalf of Advent Lutheran Church.

It's hard to believe this may be the only

Christmas card they receive. Merry Christmas from Christian Service

THE QUILTING CHICKS meet in the Melbourne

Beach fellowship hall at 8:00AM Mondays for

coffee and quilting. We need more clean,

used sheets to continue our work in making

quilts for missions around the world. They

don’t have to be in perfect shape. Just

clean.

MELBOURNE BEACH MEN'S BREAKFAST

& BIBLE STUDY

Men's Breakfast & Bible Study will meet on

Thursday, December 20th at 7:30am. Gary

Roverud will continue with the topic of JESUS

ENCOUNTERS. All are welcome.

CHRISTMAS GREETINGS

The Women of Advent have hung long red

ribbons in the narthex for you to share

Christmas greetings with all your friends at

Advent with just one card. We suggest that

with the money you save from cards and

postage, you write a check and place it in

the box beneath the ribbons. This money will

be contributed to debt reduction. Please

make checks to Advent Women, note for

debt reduction.

FOOD PANTRY

This week, Advent's Food Pantry served 27

families consisting of 82 individuals. We

distributed 43 bags of food. Current

needs: macaroni and cheese, pasta sauce.

TO ENSURE THAT YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS ARE POSTED CORRECTLY,

PLEASE BE SURE TO INCLUDE YOUR ENVELOPE NUMBER ON YOUR
