Drug Crisis in our Backyard Inc is a 501(c)3 organization founded in June 2012 by The Salomone and Christiansen family after the death of their sons Justin and Erik to a her-oin overdose We are a community grassroots organization comprised of volunteers who have a vested interested in addressing Substance Use Disorders Our mission is
To promote awareness of the rampant use of prescription and illegal opiates in our communityTo bring recognition that drug addiction is a brain diseaseTo assist individuals who are addicted or at risk and their families to find help and resourcesTo identify and advocate measures that hold the medical community accountable for over prescribing opiates
