Summer is here in full swing! Folks have mentioned that they have enjoyed their summer homework
assignment. “What homework assignment?” you may wonder… Here’s a friendly reminder that you have
homework this summer. Get together with someone between the ages of 20 to 40 and ask them the
following questions, listen to their answers without defending and giving advice:
• Tell me the story of your spiritual journey and where you are now.
• What are some challenges you face today? How does God fit into these challenges? How could a
church help you?
• What’s your impression of and attitude toward church?
• If you were to design something to help your age group in their faith journey, what might that look
like?

Tommy

Have a Good and Godly Day
Have you ever thought about what occurs when you have a Good Day and what else is
involved in making it a Godly Day?
God’s Word tells us in Colossians 3:23-24 “Whatever you do, do it enthusiastically, as
something done for the Lord and not for men...since it is the Lord Jesus you are
serving.”
Basically as Christians, whatever vocation or work we are involved in, it should be
seen as ministry for the Lord. Daily tasks become a joy because they are assigned by
Him and accomplished through Him! This summer let us seek to make everyday a
Good and Godly Day!
Be Blessed and Be a Blessing!

I am constantly being challenged by the following question, both as an individual
and for the body of believers that gather at Wrightsboro Baptist Church: “What paths
are our lives leaving for our students to follow?” As we look excitedly to what God
is doing in the WBC Student Ministry, I would encourage each of you to follow
God’s direction and be obedient to His leadership in your life. That is the best
example of a Christ-follower that we can leave for our young people to imitate.
Titus 2:1-8, CHECK IT OUT!

Stuart

Psalm 30:4 “ALL you saints! Sing your hearts out to God!”
Psalm 95:2 “Let’s march into His presence singing praises, lifting up the rafters with our hymns!”
Psalm 96:1 “Sing God a brand new song! Earth and EVERYONE in it, SING! Sing to God—worship God!” Many people in today’s church believe that singing is just for “singers” - a choir, praise team or soloists set aside to sing during worship. When some church members are asked about singing, their response might be: “I can’t sing” - ”You don’t want to hear me sing!” - or “God didn't give me that talent.”
In reality, God’s Word teaches us that singing is for ALL Believers, as the verses from Psalms say. When we come to understand that truth, the question changes from “Do you have a voice?” to “Do you have a song?” The whole congregation lifting their voices in praise to our God is SO important! So lift Your voice in praise and sing to the Lord next Sunday!

Happy summer everyone! VBS is right around the corner! We are still in need of snack items like cheese cubes, cucumbers, carrots, apple slices and grapes. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.
Also, don’t forget Music Camp July 29th to August 1st and Children’s Wednesday night summer club beginning July 17th.
And as always, thanks for all your love, prayers and support.
