The Roman Road

Why is there a need for a Savior?“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned” (Romans 5:12).

Are there any exceptions?“All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

What are the consequences of this sin?“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).

What provisions have been made to pay this debt?“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

How can one take advantage of this gift of love?“If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart

that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Romans 10:9).

If one does this by faith, is there assurance of salvation?“Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13).

What is the result of salvation?“Being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1).

Can one lose this salvation?“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:35-39).
