Improper E-mailing Can Waste Time
The Wall Street Journal recently had an article that has some very good tips for using
e-mail more effectively. New data-mining tools have analyzed employees’ e-mail
headers and online calendars to help employers pinpoint habits that can waste
employees’ time.
When composing an e-mail, ask yourself:
1. Do you often use e-mail to work out disagreements?
2. Do you often invite colleagues to meetings just to make them feel included?
3. Do you see receiving and sending a lot of e-mail as a sign of importance?
4. Do you usually hit “reply all” when responding to group e-mails?
5. Do you always respond to e-mails even if only to acknowledge receipt?
6. Do you send open-ended e-mails just to update colleagues about projects, in case
they want to weigh in?
7. Do you see being invited to a lot of meetings as a sign of a person’s importance?

Toys for Tots drive once again was a great
success - 73 toys were donated by Houston

center.
Mandy, along with Jeny Flores, Maria
Stovall and Maria’s niece, Angela,
volunteered at the distribution center
to help sort the toys.
Lots of toys that will bring a
lot of joys to a lot of children
