Pinwheels for Peace Thursday, September 14th at TES Open House
5:30pm - 6:45pmStudents' pinwheels will be on display at the TES Open Houseon September 14th. Families should display their pinwheels at home orout in public on Thursday, September 21st, “International PeaceDay” as designated by the United Nations. Take a picture of yourchild(ren) with their pinwheel displayed, print the picture, send it in toMrs. Eastham and it will be displayed in the TES Lobby!
Families are welcome to create their own pinwheel during September's"Families Create". (Tuesday 9/5 5:30 to 6:30pm) It is a free event butyou must register. Click HERE to register.
Many adults are needed to help install approximately 800 pinwheels forour annual “Pinwheels for Peace.” The display will be up for 2 days this

Pinwheels are placed in a predetermined andlaid out pattern. Last year many hands made it go pretty quickly. Bringyour own hammer, if possible. prizes. AR is a computerized program that tests reading comprehension.Students select books at their reading level, read independently, andtake an independent comprehension test on the computer. Each book isworth a certain number of points. Students get a percentage of thesepoints based on how many of the test questions they get right. AR is asite based license, so students may only take quizzes at school! TheMedia Center is open at 8am for students accompanied by an adult.
Visit arbookfind.com to find a book level and see if a book has an ARquiz. Students access AR at school through LaunchPad. To check yourchild's progress from home click HERE & log in with your child’s 10 digitOCPS number and their first name in CAPS as the password.
Thornebrooke’s Annual Fall Fundraiser! This year the students will beparticipating in a Castle Quest themed character building, fundraisingand Fun Run event.
