Everyone has settled very quickly into the rhythm of school life. In every class and every learning space across our school, students and teachers are creating positive vibes and building quality relationships through participation in our ‘Launch Into Learning’ program. This tim e is used to explore our school values of Respect, Resilience, Responsibility, Honesty and Excellence. Students are being connected to our values through participation in group cooperative games, social talk, picture books, video clips and music. A positive classroom culture is essential to learning. Students are also working together to establish classroom rules. Your children might like to share some of the games and activities that they have learnt at school to play as a family. Teachers have worked hard developing their teaching plans for Term 1. Parent Planners will be sent home with every student next Thursday. A copy will also be available to download from our website. As promised last week, this week’s newsletter includes a number of reminders. The Week in Review Parking and Drop Off Please pay particular attention during parking/ drop off as a number of incidents have already been brought to our attention. All incidents stem from parents ‘being in a hurry’; however this is not an excuse for behaviour that could possibly impact on the safety of our students. Traffic congestion is a problem, but if we all follow basic safety guidelines and road rules the safety of our children is increased.
