Principal’s Note January 2021 2020-2021 Tiger Tales Newsletter Dates to Remember: February 11th –- EZ’s Family Night February 12th— Early Dismissal, 12 Noon, February 15th President’s Holiday, No School February 24th— School Council Mtg. Dear St. Peter School families, After an eventful start to the year with campus closures due to Covid, I am happy to share that our school community is moving forward and thriving as we move well into the third quarter of the year. As I write this, it is the 100 th day of school and I arrived to my office door today to see 100 sticky notes from our preschool Tigers sharing 100 things they love about our school. During what is sometimes a challenging year for all of us, these reminders are welcome, precious, and blessed. So much has changed this year, but our greatest treasures at St. Peters, our stu- dents, have not changed at all. There are two important things I would like to mention to you this month. First, a new mens ministry group at St. Peters, That Man is You, would like to extend a special invitation to our school dads and male guardians to join them at one of their weekly gatherings. I will be attending one of these meetings for the first time myself this semester and I would invite you to join me. These gentlemen are big supporters of our school and several of them are former St. Peters parents them- selves and they are eager to enhance the strong tie between our church and school communities. Meetings are currently held on Zoom and information is attached to this email inn a brochure. Please feel free to reach out if you have questions or would like more information about this meaningful opportunity. And finally, please be on the look out for important information regarding the spring fundraiser that will replace our in-person Gala this year. Funds raised for this purpose are vital to our school operations and so we will be asking for your help and support this year. The Gala is always one of my favorite events of the year when we all get to enjoy fellowship, great food, and celebrate our community. My wife jokes that last years Gala was the last time she got dressed up for any- thing and in all seriousness, I often give thanks that we were able to have this event last year before quarantine began. Please prayerfully consider helping us in these efforts this year. The event will look different, but the purpose and need re- main unchanged. Wishing you Gods blessings,

Dear St. Peter School families,

After an eventful start to the year with campus closures due to Covid, I am happy to share that our school community is moving forward and thriving as we move well into the third quarter of the year. As I write this, it is the 100th day of school and I arrived to my office door today to see 100 sticky notes from our preschool Tigers sharing 100 things they love about our school. During what is sometimes a challenging year for all of us, these reminders are welcome, precious, and blessed. So much has changed this year, but our greatest treasures at St. Peter’s, our stu-dents, have not changed at all.

There are two important things I would like to mention to you this month. First, a new men’s ministry group at St. Peter’s, That Man is You, would like to extend a special invitation to our school dads and male guardians to join them at one of their weekly gatherings. I will be attending one of these meetings for the first time myself this semester and I would invite you to join me. These gentlemen are big supporters of our school and several of them are former St. Peter’s parents them-selves and they are eager to enhance the strong tie between our church and school communities. Meetings are currently held on Zoom and information is attached to this email inn a brochure. TIGER SPIRIT

TOLERANCE, INTEGRITY, GENEROSITY, EMPATHY, RESPONSIBILITY

ST. PETER PRAYER St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles, you were given the keys to the king-dom of heaven. As the first pope, guide us to what is always true and

good. Blessed Apostle St. Peter, whose name means “rock,” Jesus chose you to build his Church. Help me build tolerance, integrity, generosity, empathy, and responsibility within my community of

faith. St. Peter, pray for us!
