The art appericiation classes strengthen there interpertations skills and they can use the same as in the other subjects as well as in other aspects of life. Art develops child's intelligence a child learns how to solve problems.

MOHINIYATTAM (KERALA)

The theme of mohiniyattam dance is love and devotion to God. Vishnu or Krishna is most often the hero. The dancer attraied in beautiful white with gold border kasavu saree of Kerala with the distinctive white Jasmin flowers around the Freanch bun at the side of her head.

BHARATANATYAM (TAMIL NADU)

Bharatanatayam dance has been handed down to the centuries by dance teachers (or Guru’s) called nattuwanars and the temple dancers called devadasis. In the sacred environment of the temple these families developed and propagated their heritage and must be good learning.

KUCHIPUDI(ANDRA PRADESH)

Kuchipudi is sanskrit theatrical tradition of Bharata mela natakam. The actors sing and dance and the style is a blend of folk and classical. Bharata mela natakam performed as temples of either Merratur, Soolamangalam, Oothkadu, Nallur or the Perumanallur.

ODDISSI (ORISSA)

Oddissi is based on the popular devotion to Lord Krishna and the verses of the sanskrit play Geet Govinda used to depict the love and devotion to God. The Oddissi dancers use their head and torso in soft following movements to expression moods and emotions. The temple walls of Buhaneshwar temple.

KATHAK (UTTAR PRADESH)

Kathak is north Indian dance. Traditionally the story of Radha and Krishna. The dance was taken to muslim courts and thus it become more entertainment and religious in content. The pure dance nritta aspect and less on abhinaya expression and emotion.

MANIPURI (MANIPUR)

This dance style was originally called Jogai which means circular movement in ancient texts it has been compared to the movement of the plants around the sun. It said that when, Krishna Radha and Gopi’s danced the rasaleela Siva made sure that no distributed the beauty of the dancing.

KATHAKALI (KERALA)

Kathakali literally means story-play and is an elaborate dance depicting the rictory of truth over falls food. A stricking feautures of Kathakali is use of elaborate make up and colourful costumes.
