• Bring prior knowledge. • Test their hypothesis. • The lesson will be inductive• They will be using heart rate
monitors and counting respirations.
*Allow them to create their own experiment and procedures after doing the initial lab. *Get them to a point where they can create the procedures on their own. * The topic will cover two weeks and includes a lot of new vocabulary and concepts that are in-depth about the human body.
•They will collect the data using one member in their group as a “test subject” •They will collect respiratory and heart rates during times of rest and times of physical exertion. •They will analyze the data collected very carefully as to see how the body reacts to change to maintain a balance.

The class will observe the differences of temperatures of different kinds of materials (socks) covering beakers (or bottles) filled with hot water.
The use of data probes are essential to reading temperature.
Computer analysis will incorporate technology into the classroom.
