Total Nigeria Plc’s Launch of Road Safety Cubes Campaign Total Nigeria Plc on May 28, 2013 launched “2013 Road Safety Cubes Campaign for Children” in Lagos State at Saint Georges Primary Schools, Falomo in Ikoyi. It marked the first phase of the deployment of this laudable nationwide campaign and was well attended by the Honourable Commissioner for Transport, Lagos State, Mr. Kayode Opeifa, Senior Special Assistant to Lagos State Governor, Dr. Mariam Masha, representatives of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) Unit Commander Lagos Island, Sadiq Abdulrahman, pupils and students of primary and junior secondary schools in Ikoyi, Tutor General for secondary schools in Ikoyi, members of the Press, and Management of Total Nigeria Plc. Key highlights of this auspicious event were the unveiling of the Safety Cubes, handover ceremony of the Safety Cubes to the Lagos State Government, presentation of a playlet centered on encouraging good road habits, as well as road safety presentations by LASTMA and FR SC. Total Nigeria Plc’s 35th Annual General Meeting Total Nigeria Plc held its 35th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on June 14, 2013 at Shell Hall, Muson Center, Lagos. In recognition of the company's compliance with all regulatory requirements, the meeting was well attended by representatives of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, Securities and Exchange Commission, and Corporate Affairs Commission. Also in attendance were distinguished shareholders, financial analysts, pressmen, top management and staff. Prior to this event, the company treated its shareholders to a cocktail party at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos on June 13, 2013. It is worthy to mention that the company performed the closing bell ringing ceremony at the Nigerian Stock Exchange immediately after this auspicious event. SFS: Bonjour shop promoNestle Coffee Promo still continues in six major Bonjour Shops across the nation. Customers who purchase coffee in these shops continue to win several branded Nestle gifts items including face caps, pens, note pads, etc. The objective of the promo is to increase coffee awareness and encourage coffee consumption in our shops. The participating shops are in the following service stations: Lekki 1 in Lagos, Wuse 1 in Abuja, South Bridge in Kaduna, Awolowo Road in Lagos, Airport Road in Warri, and Western Avenue in Lagos.

Dummy shop launch at TOTAL Head OfficeA new shop/coffee corner was officially launched in June at the reception of the head office. This corner was created to increase awareness of our products and services and provide a good :environment for staff to converge at tea / lunch breaks.The corner was officially launched by the Vice Chairman & MD just before the 2013 AGM .

Roboquartz campaignIn order to re-emphasize the superior quality of the Total Quartz Lubricants range, a media campaign tagged ‘Roboquartz ’ Campaign commenced on June 13, 2013. The major highlight of the campaign is to inform consumers that engines can enjoy more protection, longevity and optimum performance with the use of Total Quartz Lubricants. Adverts were translated into several local languages including Yoruba, Pidgin and Hausa to appeal to a wide range of consumers.

Retail Safety and Training: Top Service Week

Top Service Week was conducted Nationwide from May 6 to 10 , 2013. The objectives of the week were to:

©Demonstrate Total’s commitment to providing Top Quality Service to all it’s customers.

©Give Executive members and other head office staff opportunity to meet and appreciate the station staff who serve our customers.

Staff were divided into groups but headed by at least 1 EXCO member/Senior Manager to observe and evaluate all the services provided in participating stations.

On May 10, 2013, Innovation Creative Sessions were conducted in 15 locations nationwide. Anchored by 15 local Innovation correspondents, it’s purpose was to generate creative ideas on increasing customer satisfaction. 270 employees and 55 dealers participated in the Innovation sessions with over 30 creative

ST ND RD ideas submitted and reviewed. Cash Prizes to be won by the three best groups are: 1 Prize: N125,000, 2 Prize: N75,000 and 3Prize: N50,000.

Innovation CampaignA quarterly innovation campaign was launched on June 15, 2013 to encourage staff to propose innovative ideas on how to o p t i m i z e s p e n d i n g a n d i m p r o v e productivity. The best three ideas will be

STrewarded with the following prizes: 1 Prize: ND RDN125,000, 2 Prize: N75,000 and 3 Prize:

N50,000. The campaign will be on till June 30, 2013.

Retail LIB/Premium Dealers: Refresher training of premium dealers commenced in June 2013 with the aim of sustaining professional marketing a p p r o a c h a n d d i s s e m i n a t i n g information on concept update.

Lube Bay & Car WashRefresher training for operatives commenced in June 2013 to improve s a f e t y a w a r e n e s s , p r o f e s s i o n a l i s m a n d disseminate information on concept update for o p t i m u m c u s t o m e r satisfaction. This is even more important with the implementation of Bay-LIB customer synergy.

WESTERN TERRITORYOnigbagbo station, Lagos: sales building reconstruction is in progress, aluminum works have been completed, terrazzo works at the lube-bay are still on-going, and canopy steel sections on site at the forecourt are been installed.

EASTERN TERRITORY©Ogbor Hill, Aba: station reconstruction works is still on going and nearing

70% completion.©Oguta Road, Onitsha: T-air signage works are on-going while all civil works

have been completed.2©Orlu Road, Orlu: station reconstruction is in progress as forecourt concrete

works and sales building works are still ongoing.©Warri centre: station reconstruction has commenced.©Lagos Road Benin: station construction work has commenced.©PHC 2: station reconstruction would commence in July 2013.

NORTHERN TERRITORY©Tipper Garage, Abuja: station creation works are nearing completion.©Wuse 2, Tundun Fulani, and Hospital Road Zaria: reconstruction works are still

ongoing.©Herbert Macaulay Station Abuja: site will be handed over to contractor on

June 28, 2013 for commencement of work.

T-AIR COMPLETED PROJECTS Lekki 2, Ajegunle, Gboko Station, and Jericho Rd Otukpo have been fully converted to T-air signage stations.

DEPOTS PROJECTS1. Bitumen Tank Construction in Koko: foundation has been completed, welding

works are in progress. 2. Apapa Safety Upgrade: new fire pumps have been installed with connection to

water tanks to be completed by July 31, 2013. 3. Floating Screen for PMS Tanks: floating screens received for Apapa and JV

Tanks, would be installed before the end of the third quarter of 2013.4. Apapa JV Access Road: road rehabilitation is almost completion.

GT Customer Appreciation Lunch- Eastern TerritoryThe event was held at the LeMeridien Hotel, Ogeyi's Place Port-harcourt on May 28, 2013. In attendance were GM (Marketing), Yahaya Yunusa, General Trade Manager, Moyo Areola, TSM (East) Babatunde Omojola, ISM (East) Mufatau Balogun, and all the eastern General Trade Executives. With a total of forty GT Industrial customers represented, this inaugural event was designed to thank TOTAL Nigeria Plc's loyal customers. It also afforded executives the opportunity to bond with customers in a relaxed environment there by creating the right ambience for an improved business relationship.

During the event, a reminder of our best practices were showcased and presented by the ISM (East). Covering areas like VMS, barge delivery, Total Card and our Lube diagnostics package amongst others, it helped in stimulating enquiries from the customers. These were answered by GTM and GM (M) who provided reassuring responses and clarifications on raised issues.

Boosting Business Ties: Total Nigeria Plc and Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation

The Managing Director, Francois Boussagol in company of General Manager Strategy, Jeff Nnamani, visited the Group Managing Director of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Engineer Andrew Yakubu recently in Abuja. The meeting was focused on key discussions regarding the on-going LPG Refilling and Blending contracts between both industry leaders.

MD's Cup Football Tournament 2013The MD's Cup tournament is an integral part of Total Nigeria Plc's work-life balance initiatives. This grand event, organised to encourage sporting activities amongst employees, took place between May 14 and 18, 2013. The match ended with the scores being 4 – 2 as the defending champion, Northern territory, lost to Head office.

Other activities included “Healthy Living walk”, Novelty match, and “Fastest Man and Woman in Total Nigeria Plc” competitions in which Mr. Albert Mabuyaku, Corporate Affairs Manager and Miss Kate Ogu, Category Manager (Automobiles) emerged as winners respectively.
